February 16, 2014 DREAMing!

How do I join the Fish Exchange for the Disney Dream Cruise Feb 16th 2014?

Connie H

We are going on the Feb 16th Dream Cruise in 2014 and are interested in the Disney meet and greet (and possibly fish extenders). How do we join? Is there a limit to the number of people allowed for this group? Would love specifics on how to join!

Thanks,
Connie

:welcome: to the DISboards and our cruise thread!

Unfortunately the "official" FE list was closed last week.
If you want to get on a latecomer list, please let me know everyone's first names and ages of any kids, plus your stateroom number.

Connie, by posting you already joined the cruise group. There will be a meet and greet on the first day, but we have not yet made any definite plans.

As for the FE, just see my other post to you and let me know what you think. ;)

Please add us to the latecomer list. If you have additional questions let me know.

Now that was quick, Connie! :thumbsup2

I will start the latecomer list lateron today. I have some things I need to get finished for work first.
This weekend I had 3 requests of people wanting to join the FE, so I guess there will be some more people joining until the cruise.
Tom and I have just started making our gifts and we will join the latecomer list as well. :goodvibes

So exciting to cruise with first time cruisers. They are going to love it. You are wonderful grandparents treating the girls. pixiedust:

Appreciate your quick response too. Do you have any gift ideas or links to sites that have ideas to pass along? Is there a money limit for the gifts? Thanks, Connie

Connie, this is a very good thread to get an idea on FE gifts - http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1980639

There is NO money limit, spend as little or as much as you want. But other than the gifts in this thread you could always get something that is from your particular area, postcards, candy or something.
Since Tom and I travel from overseas our gifts have to be small and lightweighed (esp. since we hand out (small) gifts every day). In February we love to bring European chocolate and candy to add to our small gifts. In summer that is a NO GO! :lmao:
It is up to you if you give a cabin gift or a gift to every person in the room. This should just be fun, no worry!

Thank you for the opportunity to participate in the latecomer list for the Fish Extender program. However, we have decided not to participate on this cruise. We are going to wait until next time Happy Sailing!
Thanks again.

We would love to join the latecomer list!

Kelly
Jack - age 3

Let me know if there is anything else you need!

Great! I started the list and will add it to my first post! So looking forward to sharing the magic and sailing on the DREAM. :thumbsup2

We always pick a time on the first day (before the muster usually) to meet up with everyone from the thread, so I assume we'll be doing that this time too. I was thinking that I might set up a quick get to know you game for the kids, I have no idea what kind of game but I'll think of something. Any thoughts on this? My kids really like to get to know a few kids before they get to the clubs, it makes it so much more fun when they show up at a club and they already know one or a few of the kids :grouphug:

:yay: It feels exciting, doesn't it? Our FE sleeps in our Owner's Locker box and our docs have not arrived yet, but at least we will already be on our way to the US in one month's time. ;)

So far I have not even thought about a time for a meet and greet. On our other cruises we always had one at the Vista Cafe at 3pm. That should give everyone enough time to have lunch and check out the stateroom before meeting.
What do you think?

I think that makes sense. I have only previously sailed the smaller ships so I'll have to find the Vista Cafe :) What time is muster 4:00 or 3:30?

I believe muster drill is at 4pm.
We had our meet last year at the Vista. Pretty centrally located.

Safety drill is at 4pm, so 3pm meet time gives us an hour's time. Vista Cafe is easy to find. It is on deck 4 opposite from where you will enter the ship. :thumbsup2

Looking forward to the Meet and Greet, and a get-to-know you game is a great idea!!!
