Being our first Cruise? What is best; Day at Nassau or Stay Aboard the Dream? Any Why??

We stayed aboard. Instead of paying for an excursion we enjoyed the ship with a lot less people aboard. and dd was only 2 and unable to do much else.

Probably doing the same this time.

The Bowens will be along for this cruise. We would love to participate in the FIsh Extenders Exchange. Our 9 & 10 year old daughters (Molly and Sarah Beth) are SO excited about our first Disney Cruise! Sarah Beth will be turning 11 on our last day!!!

Just got off the Fantasy this morning. GREAT cruise!

We just booked out first cruise for the Dream on 2/16/14! So excited! Having never been on a cruise, let alone a DISNEY cruise, we have no idea what to expect.
There will be 4 of us traveling: myself, my DH and our 2 DS (ages 3 and 6-at time of cruise). looking forward to hearing about everyones plans!

Mine don't know yet. We are leaving for the World on 10/13 and we're keeping THAT a secret too. I love to see their reactions when they figure it out.

Oh wow! What an amazing surprise! Will they know about the cruise once you get to WDW or will that be a surprise even then?

Hi everyone! Getting to this thread a bit late but you know how it is..life gets in the way!! LOL!
We are booked on this 4 night. It will be me DH, DS (15) and DD (14). We will be traveling with another family who will be on their first ever Disney Cruise.
We have been so busy lately with work and school that I havent really thought too much about the upcoming trip..Time to start getting focused!!!

Sorry I have not been on here in a long time, but we have been travelling for 5 weeks and went straight back to work after that.
It's sad, but there was a lot of work to catch up on, I became a class teacher again, so I had to cut my DIS time short.

Hope it won't happen again.

Hi all! We're going on our first cruise on the Dream on Feb 16th. Can. not. wait! So, it's my family, my 3 cousins and their families and a friends family. I know we definitely want to participate in the fish extender (melissa, keith, Lauren (12) Kyle (10) Hailey (8). )
What else do we need to do? What are some examples of fish extender gifts that you've received?
I'd also like to be in the fb group but not sure if i can 'pm' linda b/c this is my very first post on disboards. hmmm.

There is a lot of information about the FE in my first post and there are at least two threads with FE gifts. I think one is called Homemade FE gifts. Lots of fun ideas. But everything is welcome actually.

To be honest, if you just want to get an impression of Nassau you can always just walk into town (literally 3 minutes!). There are some nice shops and a few sights that you can easily walk to. On the other hand, the ship is a lot less crowded (esp. pools) on Nassau day.
We always just walk into Nassau, do a little shopping and head back to the ship.

Sorry to say that I have switched from this sailing to another Fantasy cruise in January.

Well I ditched the B2B part of this because somehow I got talked into a 7 day Fantasy cruise on January 25th. (had to twist my arm, I swear! )

So it'll just be this four day. But it'll be two weeks after I step off the Fantasy so I'm not sad about ditching the B2B at all.

I haven't totally decided on the cabana yet.

I really am looking forward to this cruise - and would love to catch up with both of you!

This will be the second cruise for my DH, DS (12) and DD (14), having done the Fantasy in September 2012. We are being joined by first time cruisers, my sister-in-law, brother-in-law and their DS (14).

On our last cruise, my DD had two school friends on the same cruise and we are hoping that maybe my DS will get lucky this time and have a friend who happens to be on the same cruise since my DD and her cousin will be in Vibe, while my DS is still in Edge.

Any Cherokee County, GA cruisers?
