Safe travels to everyone...be careful & get to the port healthy! (wicked flu stuff going on in our kids' schools . So far we're unscathed - knocking on wood).

No birthday here. I am so excited too!!!! I am all packed & ready to go, I even decided to go tanning this week (a first) this way, I won't blend in with the sand next week. Am I sick or what.

yikes....I am just waiting for the dryer to finish....and working on suitcase number 2! I have sent my husband 'gathering'. I gave him the packing list and now he is gathering all of the non-clothing items.

Finally done packing and finished FE gifts. Can't find my camera (had it at 2pm). Car is packed. All that is left is sleep and hitting the road. See you all in Florida. Can't wait to meet my new friends. Be safe.

Have a great trip to wdw. We arrive tomorrow evening around 7ish so we plan to check in and hit downtown disney. Thursday will be Epcot and the Studios, Friday we will do Magic Kingdom. We have adr's at Grand Floridian Cafe (the best kept secret on Disney property for restaurants IMO) and Friday we eat at Ohana. All eight of us will meet at Chef Mickeys for breakfast the morning of the cruise. Getting so excited!!!

Hi Patty,

We are also flying in Friday afternoon and staying at the Hyatt and taking the DCL bus to the port in the morning. We also wanted to visit DW or DTD but taking a town car there roundtrip at $100 + tip for just a few hours doesn't look too hot for us. Are you driving there? And do you know if we can pay to take the ME over? Thanks!

If you guys don't have a car & staying at the airport, & would like to go to DW, you might concider New Lynx bus from MCO to WDW

We are very lucky because my friend lives in orlando so we are staying there on fri and then they will drive us to port !

Looks like we're bumping up our departure. We were supposed to leave Thursday afternoon. We drive (from the Buffalo area). Thursday's forecast, from home to W. Virginia, looks snowy. Wed is a little rainy but 25 degrees warmer. So, we're now leaving Wed. after dinner. We are going just far enough to get past the snow forecasted for Thursday.

Due to the change, we're spending Friday at the Radison right near the ship. We've never stayed there before but I know lots of people from the DIS have. We're just looking to swim, have dinner and unwind after the car trip.

My countdown just got very small. I have a few details that now need to be taken care of today.

I think it is a good idea to leave early. You don't want to get stuck in the snow. Drive safely in the bad weather!

Jess, there is a really great Italian resturant next door to the Raddision. You can walk there. The food was unbelievably great & very reasonably priced.

Accross the street is a McDonalds. When checking in, ask the front desk if they have any sweet upgrades (doesn't hurt to ask) Also ask for a room that faces the magic & you can see from your room.

If you are taking the shuttle, try to get on the first one, ask for the sticker pass for your car for the week.

Hi all, have not posted in a while but I have been keeping up on everybody. My wife is all packed and so is the DD. I have not even looked at packing. I guess it is a guy thing. They are leaving early on Friday morning and I will fly out late in the evening...I have got to work. We are staying at the BW. I am looking forward to the cruise. We are very excited This is our 5th time on DCL. We always do the 7 day and enjoy every minute of it. Looking forward to meeting you all and enjoying the Disney experience See you all on the ship

Got in about 7pm the drive from NC was beautiful. I checked the weather in Orlando for the next 10 days and looks like 70's and 80's.
Purtipat thanks for the link. It will be fun for the grandkids to see.

Just a little more packing to finish up and then it's time to clean up and go to sleep. Have to wake up at 5am to get to the airport in time for our flight. We'll be staying 3 nights at BCV before the cruise. I can't believe it's finally time to go!!!

As a reminder, We will be meeting at 1pm on Sunday, Feb 15 on the outside deck at Topsiders, weather permitting. If weather isn't cooperating, we'll meet inside. Not sure how the logistics of having us all sitting together will work...I guess we'll just take squatters rights on as many tables as we can get.

Welcome. Where are you flying in from?

Come to the group meet on Sunday at 1pm & ask the men, I am sure a few would be interested. I would also ask guest service about how you can go about doing this.
