Taking my first Disney cruise 2/14/2004 with DD 17, DS 14, DD 12.

Been to Disneyworld 5 times in past 5 years and also Disneyland Paris. Can't wait for the cruise.

Think I am more excited than the kids.

I've been reading posts for a few weeks and finally got registered.

This is our winter break so I know there will be lots of school kids.

Who's coming?

Hi DMOMof3!

My DD17 and I are going! She might be bringing another friend she met a couple of cruises ago. This will be #5 for us. We go this week every year. It is great to get away from the cold Connecticut winters!

We did the Dolphin Swim in Cozumel, and I really recommend doing that. It was awesome to get into the water and swim with them. (of course I ended up spending a fortune on the pictures they took) Let me know if you want more specifics. Of course don't miss the stingrays in Grand Cayman. I think this time we will do the horseback riding on the beach, and the jeep or dune buggy excursion.

In our household, I am also more excited that my DD, however she would never hear of us missing a year! ;)

Hi Robin,

We definately want to do the Dolphin Swim in Cozumel and the stingrays in Grand Cayman. DD will be majoring in Marine Biology in fall of 2004.

Did you book through DCL or go direct?

What do you recommend for Key West? snorkeling ? or is Castaway Cay good for this?

Any info would be appreciated, so much good info on these boards.

Sure could use an ocean breeze here in CT this week!

Hi Lynn,

Disney does not offer the Dolphin Swim, only the encounter. I booked directly with www.dolphindiscovery.com You need to do this early, and pay in full when doing so. They are great there, and had no problems at all. I booked mine about 3 months before. We did use Disney for the stingrays, but my sister used Captain Marvins. Either option is good, I just wanted to see a bit of the island, so we did the "tourist" things, Hell, turtle farm, etc. Key West we did the trolley where you can get on and off to shop. We also did Hemmingway house which was very interesting. My DD Aimee did the teen thing in Cozumel.

I completely agree about the breeze being needed here. UGH, I guess we all somehow knew that after having like 50 days of damp gloom, we would go right into Hot and Humid! We are in Norwalk, where are you?

Let me know if you have any other questions.
