Watched the cruise show with hubby, dare I think he might just be getting excited, too?

I'm off to Mass to spend the night with my niece & nephew. Our volunteer day is tomorrow morning. Serious cruise talk for the next 24hrs, I think.

Do we have a central location on the ship in case cabin numbers happen to change? I know I'm still missing a few.

Also, we're meeting at 3pm in Promenade Lounge the first day. Is that too close to the boat drill? In the 1/10 navigator, the drill is blocked out from 3:30 to 4:15. Just a thought.

I will post a list on my cabin door (I KNOW my cabin won't change), anyone with changes can come down and make them there. I think we'll be ok for a 3pm meeting on Sunday, we just need a half hour or so to put some faces with names! I'll bring some name tags to share!

At least I hope they can, that way the kids can all go to the kids clubs together in the evening if they want. Plus give mom and dad a chance to have adult converstaions...

The CM said she would put it as a request . I have to call back to see if they can in about a week she said.
 
ok , just checked my res. and it says "Main" under dinning seating. So I am guess they did change my dinning time? Main is early right? Don't know about the table seating but I know she said they try to get the tables close to each other if her table is full. Cool!!!!
 
For our volunteer day yesterday, we cleaned a classroom at the local headstart. They were completely overwhelmed with volunteer requests and I don't think they were ready for volunteers. There were few cleaning supplies and little instruction. Not that we needed the instruction, but more supplies would have done a better job. At 10am when our time was over we were one of the last to leave. We had a good time, then hit the local IHOP for brunch. I did up booklets of our vacation itinerary for my niece & nephew, so we went over those as well as the Navigators from the 4-night on 1/10/10 that I had printed out. We all had cruise fever yesterday!

I have two word documents that I've created if anyone wants any just PM me your e-mail address. One is the buttons and the second is a Drink Of The Day Passport. Got the idea from my 15-night cruise. You just print, cut it in hallf horiztonaly, then fold each page vertically, staple them all together and poof, you have a passport. Works for either version of the DOTD.

Good Morning!!!! Two more weeks to go!!

I did go out yesterday and finished up shopping for clothes, just making sure we had enough swimsuits and flipflops.
 
We finished organizing clothes for the trip! I can't believe it's almost here! Thankfully, we were able to find all the flip flops and didn't need to go buy a new wardrobe for the trip! Of course, I had to squeeze in some shopping anyway!!!! Can't wait to meet everyone!

I am looking SO forward to relaxing too! 2nd on my list: spending time with my kdis. 3rd on my list: spending time without my kids (:goodvibes), and #4: massage at Castaway Cay!!!!! oh, and #5: spending time with my extended family!!!

11 more days til WDW, and 15 until the cruise! I can't believe it!
 
Y'all are inspiring me. I have not done hardly anything to get started for the trip. I did transfer my disney reward dollars over...one thing down. I have no excuse we have been trapped in the house for 4 days due to the ice covered roads. Maybe tomorrow. I hope we all still fit in our warm weather clothes!

OK, I saw the FE list on the front page of the thread. I definitely want to participate HOWEVER, I absolutely CANNOT make one before our cruise...or ever, for that matter! :rotfl: I can't even sew a button.

So.....does ANYONE have any suggestions for me so I can be included? I also see that I'm listed for Sunday. What does that mean, exactly? How many gifts do I have to get, and when do I give them to everyone?

Obviously, I've never been part of a FE before...since this is my first Disney Cruise!

If anyone can help with details, that would be GREAT!

BTW, I am on Deck 2, Room 2101.

WHAT HAVE YOU ALL DECIDED TO DO IN NASSAU? The Atlantis Excursion is so expensive, especially since I've been there 6 times already. I am going to opt out of that one.

11 DAYS UNTIL WE LEAVE!!!! Next Friday night, we start our LOOOONG drive to Cocoa Beach. YAY!!!!!! :banana:

P.S. I would love to book a couples massage for DH and myself...should I wait until I get on the ship to book it?:confused3
 
Welcome back!!! I just bought 2 small canvas bags and some iron on disney patches. I am going to either hand sew or glue them together so they hang above each other. I got some rope in the ribbon section to make a loop to hang it on the fish. It sounds simple, we will see. lol

Everyone got assigned a day to hand out their FE gifts, that way the kids get a gift everyday.

I think in Nassau we are just going to get a taxi up to the fort and Queens staircase and look around. They say its a pretty view from there.

On our 15-night cruise, I saw all different type of FE apparatus, everything from the normal FE to a windsock with the end sewn up to a plain ol' paper bag! lol.

Nassau, we opted out because I'm not comfortable taking the kids off the ship on my own in a place with safety concerns like Nassau. I'm sure it's fine, but we're just going to hang out on the ship. If anyone wants to hang out with us, maybe we could put a fun event together like a photo scavenger hunt. I can probably come up with something if anyone is interested.

If you know you want the massage, I say book it now. Would be a bummer to want it and have it sold out when you get on the ship.

Yea IN LUV, good to hear from you! Sounds like you will be just a few doors down from us!

For a FE bag I went to Walmart in the fabric section and found a messenger bag iron on kit, so I'm not worrying about multiple pockets! I also considered just getting a plain tote bag.

We will probably just get off the ship in Nassau and look around in the immediate vicinity, maybe go to the straw market, we probably won't be spending too much time there, especially when there is so much to do on the ship!

I put you on Sunday to distribute your gifts, let me know if you would rather do another day. You can buy a little something for everyone, or do a gift bag per cabin (I think several of us are doing a gift bag per cabin). We also are having a meet on Sunday at 3pm in the Promenade Lounge.

We at first were going to drive down on Fri afternoon, but decided to bite the bullet and do it all on Saturday (9 hours)! Going to be SOOOO ready to get out of the car by then!
 
Count us in on driving down 95 - although we are about 17+ hours away :(

Anyone have any advice on driving around Daytona? I could be wrong but I would imagine traffic around there will be pretty hectic that week.
 
My MIL is a bit up in the air about going because her mother has had some health issues. She is doing fine, but will have to be non-weight bearing for a month. There are other family to help her out plus home health while we are gone, but you know daughters (since I am one I know). I really hope she will still come. If not, we have plenty of childcare options to allow us to do some adult stuff. She just really needed a vacation and we wanted to give it to her. My question to any of you out there. Have you ever used in room childcare at a resort (we are staying at AKL)? We have reservations at Victoria and Albert when we go to WDW. It is the only adult thing we planned while there. It is our absolute favorite and would hate to miss it.
