Lounge - since I have never cruised before do they sell drinks at this particular lounge? Does it have red shag carpet and velvet swivel chairs? Is their specialty drink a grasshopper or Rob Roy? The bottle might be empty by the time we board the boat you know!

A little stress relief today - 4 pirate costumes packed and ready to go!!! However, I might end up being a pirate on formal night, semi-formal night, Valentines Day, maybe even board the ship with it on. Now, if I can only find the time to get the rest of my things together - I'd be set!!!!!

Oh Lisa, that looks like a pint of Guinness - yum! I don't think they have any Vitamin G on the ship. I may have to learn to like Martinis if they don't!


At a world brewing convention in the States, the CEOs of various brewing organizations retired to the bar at the end of each day's conference.

Bruce, CEO of Fosters, shouted to the Barman: "In 'Strylya, we make the best bloody beer in the world, so pour me a bloody Fosters, mate."

Bob, CEO of Budweiser, calls out next: "In the States, we brew the finest beers of the world, and I make the king of them all, gimme a Bud."

Hans steps up next: "In Germany ve invented das beer, ferdamt. Give me ein Becks, ya ist der real King of beers, danke."

Paddy, CEO of Guinness, steps forward: "Barman, would ya give me a diet coke with ice and lemon? Tanks."

The others stare at him in stunned silence, amazement written all over their faces. Eventually Bruce asks: "Are you not going to have a Guinness, Pat?"

Paddy replies "Well, if you pansies aren't drinkin', then neither am I !!!

Yah, baby!! Red shag carpet and Vitamin G sounds like a plan! O.k. it's my British roots getting the better of me!

Between Captain Dean and family with the "I" on their shirts and Shiver me Timbers Russ, sounds like we are going to have quite the party at the Promenade Lounge, I don't think that DCL knows what they are in for next week!

Hi guys! We're hear in Florida! Saw the port yesterday, we're at my in-laws right near the port and RIGHT ON the beach! The boat goes right by here so we'll be watching for the Magic. If you haven't left yet you may want to pack a light jacket, it's a bit chilly here, low 60's.
Jdiane- I just saw your other thread - I hope you're feeling better, it would be such a shame to miss the boat!!!!

QUITE - STOP INTERRUPTING ME - I'M BUSY - I ONLY HAVE 42 HOURS TO GET THINGS DONE - WE ARE PROBABLY THE LAST LEAVING FOR THE TRIP (SUZANNE TOO) SATURDAY MORNING 6:45 AM - I MIGHT HAVE TO PULL AN ALL NIGHTER ON FRIDAY! STACKS OF CLOTHES THAT NEED TO BE PACKED! LIST OF THINGS TO DO AND NEED TO BE DONE - AND MY DARN EMPLOYEES HAVE BEEN CALLING IN SICK ALL WEEK - I NEEDED THAT TIME AND ENDED WORKING TWO 13 HOURS DAYS! PRESSURE IS ON NOW!

I was beginning to feel as though I didn't fit in with all of you "pack a week a head of time" people. Who has enough socks and underwear? LOL.....I'll be taking my DS's favorite tshirts out of the dryer as we are getting in the car!

Autograph books!! Where did those go? Sheesh! And Sharpie markers. Oh goodness.

Well, talk about panic mode. Several of you saw my other post about possibly rescheduling. Thanks so much for checking on us. We've had the stomach bug this week but may be recovering. The doctor said it seems to be a 24 - 48 hr bug. I'm feeling much better and DS seems to be recovering. We're on last minute decision mode. Now we're considering flying out Sat AM instead of Friday but then we would be rushing to make it to port.

But whatever gets us there!

OK my week continues - went to the mall last night bought some pants. Got home took the pants out this morning to show DW and the sales clerk never removed the theft detection widgit. Now I have to go back today return the pants to get the thing removed.

AH now for some good news! - 12 inches of snow predicted for Northeast Saturday night into Sunday - Sorry I won't be here for it!!!!

Is it Saturday yet?? This has been an insane day! I took my DD to the Opthamologist and was told that we have to give her eye drops 4 times this should be fun on a rocking ship!! It took me 3 hours to find a pharmicist who carries the drops, it's snowing like crazy here, and I just reconfirmed our flight tomorrow to find out that they forgot to book my DS (4) a seat. Thank goodness that there's still seats available. Aargh!

If anyone has any pixie dust please send it my way!!

Thank goodness that it's only 1 more sleep.

For those of you who haven't left have a safe flight and we will see you tomorrow.

Ahhhhh - could it be the last post???? It is now 11:30 PM on Friday - and we are all packed - things are done - just going to go to bed and get about 4 hours sleep - get up at 3:30 AM and head to the airport - I'll look for Suzanne and then off the Orlando - can't wait to see everybody on the ship. PS I did pack 3 bottles of wine just in case - you never know - if you know what I mean.

OK, I'm sitting here right now watching the Magic cruise back out to sea... WITHOUT ME!!!!! WAAAAAAA!!!!!

It was wonderful meeting everyone! Despite the weather, we had a wonderful time. I must say my DH, DD and I admittedly got teary-eyed at the farewell show. We rebooked on board for a back to back cruise... ahhh 2 weeks aboard the Magic next year.
Unfortunately, our vacation came to an abrupt end as soon as we excited the terminal, I recieved a call that my horse, who I've had for 20 years, became gravely ill while I was away. On 2 occasions during the week the vet was on stand-by with "the needle". The good news is they didn't have to take the drastic measure but she's got a lot of recovery ahead of her (not to mention the vet bill that has reached more than the cost of our cruise - but she's worth it).
Downer aside, the cruise was wonderful, you folks ae awesome,..... hmmmm I wonder if I start swimming if I could catch up with the ship?!
