I feel the same way!! I wish we had another cruise planned but will have to settle for WDW next year. I also saw Russ's OP and can't believe some of the comments!

Hey, thanks to all my cruisemate's posts on my OP and all the nice things you have said. However, after thinking it over for the past day - I was more upset about the thread being locked than what that ying yang had to say. I asked the moderator to remove my post from the thread since nobody would learn from it as it drifted off into never, never land. But wow I had over 3,000 views in less than 48 hours and almost 100 posts!

I had a short conversation with the moderator and she had nothing but great things to say too. She could not wait to read the thread whenever she was on the computer.

So for those who didn't see - you will never got the chance to read the thread, since it is now gone.

Still would love to get a chat going - DEAN - you still alive? We need some guidance!

The webmaster (the moderator's boss) wants my OP back up and will open it up with the offender's posts deleted.

It's been three weeks and still no return - so I guess it is now a dead issue - which is fine by me.

Sorry I kind of went MIA for awhile. I missed the all the controversy about your thread. Anyone care to fill me in?

Can you believe this....we are starting to plan a trip out to California for August!! I'm convinced that I enjoy the planning as much as the vacation! We are looking at flying out on the 24th of August into LAX and then driving up to Sacramento for the weekend to visit good friends of ours. Then head back to S. Cali for the remainder of the time -- 3 days @ Disneyland and do Universal, Sea World, maybe San Diego Zoo. There's a great pass that you can buy that lumps all 4 attractions together and you save almost 40%! Checking out flights and will probably book something within a couple days. Cheaper to fly to LA than Orlando...who knew?

Maybe we can get together Mary?

Am really hating being back at work. My co-worker went on a cruise the week after ours and had almost the identical itinerary except for CC---she had sunshine every day and weather in the mid-high 70's, low 80's.....ticked me off! Oh well---we still had fun.

I'm looking at scheduling a chat for this Fri 3/3/06. I'll send out an e-mail. Sorry I've been neglecting my cruise director responsibilities.

I am so happy to see our thread come back to life! I hope they put your thread back Russ. Did you see there is a post from someone who is looking for it? Just FYI Dean since you missed it, Russ put a wonderful post up about his experiences on the cruise when his daughter was having some behavior issues due to lack of sleep and change of routine. It was meant to be helpful and informative and it invited other parent's to share their experiences. Unfortunately there were some people who decided to use it as a forum to debate proper parenting practices. It was getting a little nasty so the mods locked it.

Suzanne I am so glad both you and Lisa (Disneymum) posted on Russ's behalf. I was getting so annoyed at how ridiculous and judgmental some of those posts were getting!

Dean we would love to get together when you are vacationing in California this summer. The pass you are looking at is a great way to go. We have friends from Texas who used it last year and they loved it. Talk to you all soon!

Hi Guys

Russ, I think that it took a lot of guts for you to post your experience and I'm glad to hear that they are putting your post back up on the site.
I felt the same way as Mary and Suzanne and couldn't believe some of the comments, at least you know that we have your back Russ.

To all of you who have booked and started planning your next vacations, I must say that I'm a little more then jealous. Dean, have a wonderful trip and I hope that at some point you can see Mary during your trip.

Grant (4) now has a picture of Suzanne's neice and Randi's daughter on his desk. I think that we are all missing the cruise and wish that we were back on it!

Hi All!!

We are missing the cruise very much, even though the weather was the pits.
Lisa and Suzanne, Ashlyn is missing the girls a lot. She took her pictures to class and talked about the trip and her new penpal friends.

We don't have another cruise scheduled as of yet. We were thinking about going on another line. But the more we thought about it we decided against it. I think the only other ship we may try is RCCl Freedom of the Seas.

Can't wait to chat with everyone Friday!

Sad to see our thread drifting away so I thought I'd give it a bump.

Yesterday Reid pulled out the DCL planning DVD and watched it. He informed us that he misses the boat and that we need to go back on the cruise again soon! (I'm right there with you kid). Of course, I'll have to start saving now for our 2008 cruise seeing that the rates will probably double by then!

In the meantime it's fun to plan our summer trip to California. Looking forward to seeing Ginger & John and hopefully plan something with Mary & Scott but haven't discussed anything further as of yet (hint,hint Mary )

Gotta run. Would like to try another chat maybe in a couple weeks.

I got my Castaway Cay Survival Kit in the mail today; makes me miss the cruise even more!

Now I'm looking forward to my trip this summer to Canada to meet up with Lisa (disneymum) and family; should be a lot of fun.

That is so cool that you are planning a trip up to Canada to see Lisa! We have plans to spend some time with Ginger & John as well as Mary & Scott during our family trip to California this summer. I think it's fantastic.

By the way everyone, did you notice how quickly Russ dumped us all to start a NEW thread for his cruise next March to meet some NEW cruise friends....how fickle

Suzanne I can't believe you got your Castaway Club kit so soon. It was months before we got ours after our first cruise and many people complain that they never get them. It does make you long to be back on the cruise though! I got an email from Randi. They are thinking about booking the same cruise that we are on in September.

Wow! Throw me under the bus and run over me twice!!!!! For a while I thought I was going to have the whole ship to myself! And now I have more Feb 11th DISers posting to the thread than people going on the cruise. Hey just in case anybody want to join us it is the MARCH 10 - MARCH 17 cruise. We are hoping a month later will bring warmer temps and better weather. So call your TA and meet us on-board!

(In fact our best friend who have 4 yr old triplets - just went to WDW for 2 days and the kids had enough by 5 o'clock - so I think the cruise was a better choice)

I am so upset though - I went to the NYC St. Patrick Day parade yesterday and we stood in front of the NYC Disney store - they had awesome Mickey Mouse NYC St. Patrick Day t-shirts and I was going to buy them for next year's cruise and they were all sold out when I went inside! Bummer! I'll have to find something else now.

So I can't wait to see everyone joining us on the Mar 10, 2007 then, OK?

I just got my Castaway Club Survival Kit today also - must be a New Jersey thing Suzanne, huh? They have our cards all mixed up however, I guess I will need to get it worked out by our next trip.

Hey Russ! Do you feel like we are stalking you? We would love to join you in March, but with two DCL cruises this year I don't think we can afford another next Spring. We are thinking about an Alaska cruise next summer. We keep hoping DCL will go there.

Hi All,

We got our Castaway Survival Kit yesterday and the CD was broken.
We rented out our timeshare week for June and decided that we may take another cruise this fall, if the price is right. We are looking at the cruise that Mary and her family are on in Sept. or the Halloween cruise this year. Jody is going to check his work schedule and see when he can take some time off.

No survival kit yet, but I think that it would just make me depressed so it's probably a good thing!

Dean, sounds like your going to have a wonderful vacation this summer visiting Mary & Scott and Ginger & John.

I also noticed that Russ, has jumped ship and posted another thread.
The next thing you'll know he'll be having late night chats with his new friends. lol.
