Ooooh, read about y'all in the Seattle area...so sorry you got 'our' weather! We're experiencing rain, a bit of sleet and a dense fog warning to ice the cake. We deal with snow better - wanna trade? :santa:
Hoping to get a few reservations for excursions, etc. done on Friday night! Let's see what's available! :woohoo:

If this is your 1st Disney Cruise, how were you able to book Palo and Remy already? I thought you had to be a member of the Castaway Club to book early...

We booked a concierge level room which allows us to book dining reservations early. Even booking early, the options were still very few for the spa treatments, and several of the dinner reservations had already been taken. I felt lucky to get anything! :)

Ah, I'd forgotten about concierge! I was able to book Remy, the Fire and Ice pedicure and one of the shore excursions last night - I was surprised they were available!

We hit the 49 day mark today!!!!!! We can officially say we leave next month, I know it's the 29th of Jan when we arrive but it still counts! :woohoo:

Has everyone finalized plans? Parks before or after? ADR's?

Yay!!! I'm spending 2 nights at the Beach Club before the cruise. Got a dinner reservation at Le Cellier. I'm still going back and forth about whether or not to keep my Remy reservation, but will keep my shore excursion in Nassau and that Fire & Ice pedicure!

Yes! I haven't had any other replies on sharing transportation, and I was just thinking the other day that I should repost my original post about this. Where are you staying the night before the cruise? We'll be at Port Orleans Riverside. First time staying there!

Right now, we'd be at 8 seats total, which would put us in the ever stylish 10 passenger Club Wagon for 151.00 one way. Round trip it would be 292.00.

I think should reserve no later than 45 days in advance. Hopefully a few more people will jump on board and save some money with us!

If anyone else is interested, please let me know soon!

Thanks!

Following is a repost of my original message for everyone's information:
Hi dunbarfamily,

Happy New Year! I was just wondering if you were still interested in splitting the cost of transportation from the hotel to the port?

From your post a while back I see that you are going back to WDW after the cruise. We will need to head back to the airport, so I am looking into other options, but just wanted to see if I also needed to look into transportation to the port.

Thank you!

Melissa and Dan

Yes yes yes!!! I haven't been on here in FOREVER! I'll go back through and read other posts to see if anyone else is interested. I'll PM you in a little bit!!

And in case someone doesn't know what we're talking about, I'll repost info.

I'm getting SOOOO excited! The kids made paper chains today to countdown. Only 34 more nights until WDW and our cruise!!!

Guess its time to fill out the online paperwork....:rolleyes1

LAST CALL TO SHARE TRANSPORTATION:

Anybody staying at WDW before our cruise? We're looking for another family to split transportation costs with. We always take a car service from Disney to the cruise. It gets there way faster than the Disney Cruise transfer busses, and if we split with another family (or families) it works out to be much cheaper than Disney service too. Don't get me wrong....I'm all for using Disney, but on a cruise, I want to be there early and get on the boat early....hit the pool and water slide And....get the customary drink of the day.... ahhhh.... can't wait!

We've used Happy Limo several times. Last cruise, we were sipping drinks around the pool at a little after noon as we made it into boarding group 3. There were still disney buses pulling up!

Here's pricing to go from Disney to the port via Happy Limo:

Club Wagon, 10 people $151.00
Mercedes Sprinter 14 people 236.00
Mini bus 28 people 306.00
Mini bus 32 people 331.00

These prices are the total for the bus. We need 6 seats for our family. We'd split the cost evenly between all families going. Tax is extra, as is tip. Once we have our group together, each family will call Happy Limo with their payment info, that way your credit/debit card info is secure.

Disney transportation costs $35/each way/per person, or $70/round trip/per person.

Let me know if you're interested!!

Sorry to post this again! Last time, I promise!!!

Melissa and Dan-
Just sent you a PM. If you can't get into PMs, pleae email me at dunbarfamily at freeway dot net.

Thanks!!

MsBiscuit....so sorry!!

Getting excited everyone!!!

Is there an official FE list yet? I'm planning on making the gifts this weekend.

Going to make the Cast Member treat bags too!

Woo Hoo!!!

The FE list is still going, not many cabins participating YET! I keep thinking the closer we get, the more people will get excited. On our first cruise, the 4 night prior to this one, there is only our cabin, my DSIL and one other.....kind of sad, we had so much fun with this the first time!

Do we want to set a cut off date? What are everyone's thoughts?

WHERE is everybody!?! :confused3

I too keep thinkikng that as we get closer, we'll get more action on the this little thread and get more people on the FE! We didn't do the FE the first cruise, but we did on the last cruise and it was so much fun!

We're still a month out, so my opinion is to cut it off maybe in a few weeks? Will that give people enough time to get their FE things together? What are your thoughts?

Maybe we should randomly post things to bump our thread to the main DIS page to get more people involved! :rotfl:

I thought there'd be a ton of excitement since this is a brand new ship (wonder if it'll have new ship smell!!) and we're on the fifth sailing!

I'M excited!!

:banana::banana::banana:

Maybe everyone is still recovering from the holidays.

I agree that waiting a few more weeks for the cut off date for the FE would be good.

I accidently posted on the 2/13 thread, but we are on this cruise- oops! We are so excited, just booked it today. We did two 3 day cruises last year, one in Feb. and one in May. Can't wait to see the Dream!!!! We are interested in doing the fish extenders for sure- there are 2 cabins of us- 6 people total. It really adds to the experience!! Let me know who I need to give info to- we don't have room assignments yet...

I agree, let's wait.....look we had a new family join today!

We leave in 23 days (not that I'm keeping track:rotfl2:), so I'm thinking we should close it, Sunday, Jan 23 (my birthday ;)). That should give me enough time to get anything extra if needed.

How does this sound to everyone participating? Is this enough time for everyone else?

Hi! Thanks for putting it together. If any of you are on the fence about participating, do it! It's really fun to tour the ship to deliver gifts and then find little surprises when you get back to your room:)

We have two rooms- not sure yet what they are...

Room 1-
Kurt (39)
Kate (me-lol, 34)
Kyle (5)

Room 2-
Hank and Sharon- Grandparents
McKenna (12)

No allergies:)

We are so excited- doubt I'll sleep much tonight!
