February 1, 2013- 4 night Magic from Galveston

I am planning on bringing a small fan on board for my DD who needs the fan noise to sleep. Does anyone have any past experience with this?? The web page and the phone operator said a small fan is allowed but must be cleared with the ship electrician. The fan is a necessity not an option so I want to make sure I pass the inspection

We have been on 3 previous Disney cruises and taken a fan on each of the with no problems. The fan we use is only used for cruising and is still in its original box. I pack it in our checked luggage and have had no problems. We plan on taking it on this cruise as well and expect, like always, for it to get to the room in our luggage. Take the fan for you daughter with confidence.

Party city might be a good place to look! :)

I was going to say Party City (great minds think alike) or go to Amazon.com. They have a lot of things.

Two votes for Party City. I guess I'll look there :thumbsup2! Thanks, guys!

In other news, did anyone see this today: http://disneycruise.disney.go.com/whats-new/special-message/

The magic is delayed due to fog. Fog is a big problem in Galveston this time of year. I hope it doesn't affect our sailing:worried:. Two years ago, my mom, my sister and me were on a 4 day Carnival cruise out of Galveston that got hit by fog on departure day. We weren't able to leave until the following afternoon, which turned our cruise into a "cruise to nowhere". It was still fun, but I'd have rather done without the fog and made it to Cozumel! Of course, I won't mind fog if it means we get back to port late and have to have a 5 day cruise :thumbsup2:cool1:! --Katie

Hey Katie,
Thanks for the update. I am totally down for adding another night because of fog - I guess I could suffer through that.... LOL! :rotfl2:

Kmsl....I thought I was the only person in the world that needed noise to sleep. I have to have either the fan,tv,or radio on. My husband thought I was crazy so I showed him your post and he just shook his head...lol

Haha! Ditto those comments! I have to have noise too But it has to be the tv and not the radio! If the radio is on I will sing/dance in the bed all night long lol WOW nice to know I'm not alone =]

We are Disney cruise newbies and I am just seeing information on fish extenders. I know we are too late to be added to this group...are there other places to check to see if we can participate with others? I am thinking about doing one and just putting things in it for our kiddos, but if we find z group that would be more fun. Thanks for any tips!!

This is the only group on the DIS for this cruise.

The rule of thumb is if any in the group can add another then a mini group can be done, but it gets to a point where people have completed their gifts.

So all I can do is ask our group if any can accomodate your group, plus ask you for the details of your family (info and ages on kids, stateroom, etc)

But :welcome: to the cruise!

Thank you for asking!! I know it is really close to our departure and most people have already finished there stuff. The Morgans are in room 8074. We are Jason and Alicia and we have three kids Kaitlyn (7), Jacob (2), and Jordyn (2).

Welcome, is Jordyn a boy or girl?

Is our FE group ever going to meet somewhere? Just curious.
When do we start dispersing the FE "goods".
Is it possible to get the list again?

Right now the meet is set for 3:00 in the Promenade Lounge on Deck 3. That should give most of us time to go to our rooms and meet for a while before the drill.
There is at least one family that will not be joining us then, due to late checkin, but hopefully the bulk can manage to come.
If anyone has an idea for another time and place, just put it out here and let's talk about it.

Delivery of the FE stuff is up to you. I have only been on one where we scheduled when to deliver. I have done 2 where we just left if up to the person and it worked out great. You may get more on one day than another, but I like the spontaneity of no schedule.

As long as you kept the link for the document, it updates for all to see whenever I do anything. If you need the link again, let me know.

We can add Amorgan 710 - still working on our stuff right now as well.

If you are new to the group or if you haven't already - I need your last name, for one of the gifts that I am making.... :artist: if you want to send it my way. :)

Please and thank you!

Jana
