February '09 Wonder Cruise meet!

:cool1: :dance3: Good Morning All,
Getting lot's done before my company come Saturday.Weather here in Florida has been great a little over cast today but hot. 9 days till the kids come and 10 days till we sail!!!!!!!! I did'nt know about the lime green:confused3 may have read it I'm not sure. D&A

LOL....if you are a regular on the Dis board you would know about the lime green mickey head....LOL....apparently years ago, someone decided the best way to identify a dis member was to wear an obscure color (lime) mickey head and that became the official color of dis board members...LOL

And there is the whole story of the "I'm watching you" hand signal from Meet the Parents.....you should do that if you see someone with a lime green Mickey head.

Lime green Mickey heads can be picked up at Home Depot, the paint chip area.

Hey, cruisers! Where can we pick up some cool decorations for our stateroom door? I've never had so much as a Post-it note on my door during my two previous cruises. I want to travel in style! Do most people just make their own decorations?

Bretty....on the main Dis forum page all the way on the bottom...you will find a link called....Creative DISigns...click on it and find the door magnet graphic link....you might also find that on the main Dis DCL forum. Right click on any of the pics you see and save to your computer hard drive. Then I usually either do is open Powerpoint or Adobe Photophop and add text to it and print. Make sure you personalize all your stuff....cause stuff has a tendancy to be removed from the doors from sticky fingers. Hope this helps....if I'm not clear.....ask away!;)

I'm amazed (ok actually jealous) of those that are packed already. All I have done is booked the pre-cruise hotel. I'm swamped at work and I haven't even started shopping or doing laundry yet!

Hi, my family and I will be on the 2/22 Wonder sailing and are SO excited. This is actually our second DCL Wonder cruise, we had so much fun on our first one (May 2008) we booked while still on board. We can't wait to go!

I have a son, 7 and a daughter 5 and we're traveling with close friends who have four children ages 14 to 7.

Bon Voyage! :) Happy Sailing!

I'm right there with you!!!!

Especially the swamped at work part!!:badpc: Although the thought that less than a week from today- I won't be at work is helping me get through it.

I had hoped to have the full weekend to pack but we got a call from a friend last night who said they were going to be in the area and could they drop by. Sigh...what do you say to that? It will be good to see them...maybe I can get them to fold laundry!!! :rotfl:

:yay: Another NH family! Hi!

My DD (age 11) and I live over in the southwest corner of NH- near Keene.

Hope you and your friends stop by our DIS meets on the ship (see post about it a few posts back).

Happy packing!

:welcome: KerriMom2NH! I'm so happy to have you aboard! If you check back one page there are two DIS meet times set up while we're on the ship! I'd love to meet you and your family! Do you have a Fish Extender? If so and you'd like to participate in the FE exchange, please PM DisneyDarling07 with your stateroom number and all family member names and ages so we can include you in this.

And to all of those of you fretting over packing - don't worry! We'll be on that ship soon and it really won't matter if you're wearing dirty underwear and stinky socks!:lmao: :rotfl: :lmao: (Okay, who am I kidding - yes it WILL matter!)

Welcome aboard!!! This group is getting bigger and bigger..:grouphug:

Never imagined when we started this thread it was going to grow so much!

We are planning on having a dis meet...hope to see you there!! Like Alice said....check the times on the previous page and put us down in your schedule!! Also, if you have a fish extender and would like to join our exchange, please send disneydarling07 a PM (personal message) and give her names and ages of your party with the stateroom number.

I see you have friends joining you too.....if they haven't signed on to the board....tell them to stop in and say "HI!!" Tell them Sue said so...;)

So here is my update.....I don't know how I ended up with the short end of the stick, but my kids had yesterday and today off of school and apparently Monday they have no school!!! So they return Tuesday and Wednesday, just to take off for vacation!!

Called the Poly yesterday to request my longhouse....still can't get the 19yo to pack! Doesn't help either that the cats are sleeping in his suitcase :cat:

Double check all my documents....I just have a zillion of them...taking my two foster boys with and I need all sorts of legal documentation to take them out of the country.

Ssshhhh....actually we are celebrating their adoption on their cruise...they know, but it's not a really big deal to them....just me! :lovestruc

So I have 6 day count before I hit WDW and I know Disneydarling has 6 days.....who is leaving sooner????

TOTALLY cool on celebrating their adoption!!! :goodvibes Congrats!!

I have 6 days too...we fly out at 6:30 am next Thurs! We'll easily be eating lunch at the MK that day....hmmm....a Casey's Hot Dog or something from Columbia Harbor House???? Definitely a pre-lunch Dole Whip might be in order!!! :cool1:

We're not leaving until a week from Saturday - so it's 8 days away for us. But we're staying in Florida a few days after the cruise...so I guess it all evens out, huh?

Campingal....we just might meet you at the ME....We are flying out at 6:30am too! We have so much in common....Casey's and Columbia are my 2 favorite place to eat in MK. I love Casey's chili.....my kids think I'm crazy! But the tuna sandwich at Columbia Harbor....yum!!! Can you tell I'm hungry????

Make sure you wear your lime green mickey head just in case I bump into you at the airport??? Are you staying in the resorts???

to meet dis members at the airport! :cool1:

I sent out the FE list to everyone last night...BUT....
something went wrong and it didn't update the copy I sent home
So I will have to resend it again.
I'm going to do that from work, so if you don't recieve anything by the end of the day, either check your junk mail, or send me a message and i will resend it to you from home.
Sorry about so many updates....:surfweb:

My heart is starting to race a little...getting excited and worried that I'm going to forget something....:scared:

6 more days!!!!!

Ahhhh....the tuna sandwich.....that would be my order too!!! Is it time for lunch yet? :rotfl:

I'll try to have my LGMH prominently displayed.

Yes- we're at the resorts- we're headed to POFQ. Really wanted to do the Poly this time but my wallet wouldn't allow it.

Now to go dig out my leftovers that I brought for lunch...which certainly ISN'T a Columbia Harbor House Tuna Sandwich....and my office certainly ISN'T Columbia Harbor House!! :rotfl2:

Hi everyone.....how is everything going....this is the last weekend before we set sail! It is so cold here in Chicago...I can't wait to get out of here! It is sooooo cold!!!

Talked to the guy at DCL reservation....apparently my ME pickup on my ticket says airport and I needed to make sure that they were picking me up at the resort. He said it was in the 70's and at night it would drop down to the 50's.....I don't know about you...but from where I come from....50's is a heat wave!!! :beach:

At this point....I will take anything that requires a light jacket! I don't care if I have my bathing suit underneath it...:lmao:

Hope everyone is keeping warm and counting the minutes to sunny days!:cool2:

I don't really know what I am doing, but I did manage to make my first door magnet. I only bought a package of magnet paper with 5 sheets, so it didn't take long to use those up and a couple ink cartridges, to boot!

So, I must ask myself, "What the heck am I doing?" I have a million and one things to get done this weekend and I am sitting on this computer making magnets and posting on the DIS boards!! :confused3 :surfweb: :confused3

A local TV station is running a contest to win a 4 day Disney cruise, so one of the station reps is on the Wonder right now. So, I got to see our beautifull ship docked in Nassau with the Atlantis in the background. He said it was 80 degrees!!! Sure looked like everyone was plenty warm and having fun. It REALLY got me excited!!!! That will be us very soon now!

Welcome to our new cruisers and FE participants!!!

I'd better go get something a little more constructive done!!! :rolleyes1

To everyone that messaged me! While I'd LOVE to participate in the Fish Extender festivities -- I won't add my name to the list as I know you've all been working for quite some time to gather the trinkets and items. :)

I saw all the FEs on the last cruise and thought to myself, "well how creative... now what the heck are they for?" :thumbsup2

I'm DEFINITELY going to try and make the meets. Traveling with the kids sometimes our schedule goes off track quickly. If you see a semi-frazzled Mom running by with a 7 year old blonde boy (Ben) and 5 year old brunette girl (Grace) in tow... it's me! :yay:

I'm going to read through as many posts as possible to catch up. We fly out of Logan Airport in Boston next Saturday and are staying at Dixie Landings for the night. We had reserved the Swan but wanted to take advantage of the Magical Express the day before so decided to switch to a WDW owned property (you can get the DCL shuttle from the Swan, but not Magical Express and hoofin' it over to The Yacht and Beach Club or Boardwalk with all our luggage.... would never work. :rotfl: ).

I'm SO excited! I'm kind of shy when I don't know people, but LOVE hanging out and making new friends so hopefully I'll get a chance to meet up with you all!

Oh and from the Mom in NH, near Keene. We're over near Milford in Brookline.

Ok I'm getting carried away with these foolish icons. haha.

Good night. I need my pre-cruise beauty rest. LOL!

Days are ticking away, aren't they? :hourglass

I am off to run some errands including picking up Lime Green Mickey Heads and more magnetic paper. Might run to the mall quick and see if they have any new spring clothes that I just have to have. I received a 30% off coupon from Kohl's that is burning a hole in my pocket (as my mom always said). :rotfl:
