Hello from WDW (POR)! Weather yesterday was c-c-ooold (58 high/44 low)! Today the high is 82, but the "isolated showers" here are huge downpours. We took it easy today lunching and shopping at DTD.

Tonight is the Pirate and Princess Party at the MK. The event starts at 7:30pm and ends at 12:30am. The kids are presently napping to prep them for the late night event. Have a long nap kids!

Yesterday 9 hours at the MK was a looong day for them. Little too much grouchiness from the girls so I think we took in about 8 attractions total(?). I guess that's not too bad for a family of four since we still saw the parade, Mickey Wishes and the fireworks in addition.

This is one of the slowest times of the year for the parks. You know this when the Fast Pass machines are shut down.

I caught the discussion about a private wine tasting. Conveniently we brought three bottles of Niagara merlot with us. We're in!

Okay..what is everyone's final count on baggage?? I just cut stuff out and still have 6 check in bags and 2 carry ons.....
(okay joksten....don't pick on me!!)

I'm tired and the kids are crabby! We are trying to have them finish some of the school work....I feel bad considering they have been in school all day! They each have 5 reading assignments, 5 math assignments (each assignment having 4 worksheets) and 6 Social Study assignments......OY VAY!

3 of us... 6 bags... and 3 carryons.. we packed loose....cause we are making a store run.. before we come to port.. so we are emptying one suit case into others for supplies..

I'm done!! All the bags are packed and loaded in the back of the Durango waiting to leave in the am. I'm so excited I can't stand it!!

I'm up and very tired. for me it is nearly 2am. I bet some of you are getting up to catch an early plane just about now and I haven't even made it to bed.

I have packed and repacked was worried about the weight of one of the bags.

Oh and Happy belated Birthday Vickie. I'll see you Wednesday Night at the Birthday bash from the happy and laid back cruises group.

I have had a heck of a week had to work late everynight to get our division budget completed. Wednesday I worked until 10pm and then on my way to work on Thursday morning. Well we had a worse ocurrance of a main computer system failure. (it an IBM product, something that usually never every goes down with out a user causing a problem). Lucky that my business is not a retail business where a large money loss would have incured. Just a local government so people could pay some bill or get building perment for 1/2 a day. I was really worried I was going to be at work longer than just a half day. I was hoping to only work 1 hours that day.

But anyways got to go home by 1pm. Daughter had two finals in college upper division stuff and she aced them both. She doesn't really like these types of classes, she is a vocal performance major so singing is her life, the other stuff to her is just a necessary evil. So she is beginning her vacation on a very happy note. Me too, I really for the happy and laid back cruise.

Morning Susan! It is 5:15 here in rainy MD! Yup..rain no snow !

I think I saw just about every hour last night..kept checking out the window to see the snow...I guess the snow turned to rain around 2pm.

Gonna jump in the shower and wake Tom up soon. Our bags are a bit heavy as well. I figure I have time to move thing around if they are too heavy. We We almost closed the garment bag without my dresses and DH's dress shirts.... That would have sucked....having to be nekid at the formal dinners

Don't know if I'll get back on line or not (I always seem to though!)

Good Morning Everyone

It's crunch time here, I'm just about to drop the kids off at daycare and then the day will be spent running around doing last minute errands and finishing up packing. I'm going to be calling it a really early night as I need to get up at 3:30 AM so we can get to the airport in time.

I can't believe we're finally at the less than one day mark. OMG, I thought this day would never come!! I'll never be able to sleep tonight.

Yay that we don't have snow! The kids were disappointed cuz they wanted to extend their vacation from school the extra day. I'm happy they didn't have off cuz the last thing I need is more helpers to pack!

I'm so relieved to hear everybody else has as many bags as me. Family of 5, total 4 suitcaes, a garment bag, and 2 decent size carryons.

Mark - I hope the weather clears up for you! Hopefully that rain is indicative of a super warm front moving through. I heard there were tornado warnings up north of Orlando.

CB - Does "main dining" mean early seating? I checked my online ressies this a.m. and noticed it said "main" and wondered if that meant early or late seating. I'm trying not to get excited cuz if we've FINALLY been moved to early seating I'm going to d-i-e from happiness! I've only been on the waiting list for some 13 months and the thought of having late seating has been the one thing that I've not been looking forward to!

Off to run errands (i.e. withdraw every last cent of cash from my checking account for tips and ports!)

Not a single post for quite a while, everyone must be on their way. Was up at 4am, been a long day. The dog is at the Camp Ground(Kennel) but what does she know. The bags are by the door and the SIL will be here at 5:15am to take us to the airport. SEE YOU ALL SOON

Here we are at the Orlando Airport Hyatt. Everyone is asleep except me (although I had an hour power nap before lunch).

Our flight home to 11°F/-16°C Toronto isn't until 9:40pm which will probably get us home about 1am after all is said and done.

We've re-booked for a 4-day for the same date next year (Feb.3rd) and booked for a June 1st Westcoast trip in 2008. Disney sure has us hooked!

Looking forward to trip reports to share some pictures and experiences... Very glad to meet all of you both online and in person.

We are back in Indy, anyone else fly Airtran this morning?! What a nightmare! They gave us 4 seats scattered around the plane, yep, they thought Conner and Grace would sit with total strangers! They are cute, but give me a break!

Jackie, how what the stingray excursion?

Hope everyone made it home safely! It's cold here, around 10*, which I guess is a heat wave compared to earlier this week!

Welcome home all!
Our trip home was uneventful! I am up to my ears (as are all of you I am sure!) in laundry.....not to mention all of the stuff I had put aside to do "after the trip!"

I hope to upload pics later this week...looking forward to hearing about everyones experience!!

Stingray was fun! Leah wasn't too into touching or feeding them, but eventually gave it a try.

No shots for me for awhile!! It took me until noon the next day to get over the few I had Wed night!!
