This is our first trip to WDW ( were suppose to be there in Sept., but you know what happened there) So were trying again. We have friends that have been over 25 times and they say no way will we be able to swim, but when I talked to the disney lady she said of course you'll be able to swim. Any input you have on the weather in Feb would be appreciated.

Regardless of Feb. weather, Disney pools are heated to 80 degrees, so of course you can swim......getting back and forth to the pool could be somewhat of challenge depending on the weather you happen to encounter.
good luck :smooth:

We were at the Poly last Feb. 2-9, and we swam most every day! The pool is heated! A little cold getting out though! :Pinkbounc

It is more a question of will you want to swim. The weather isn Feb is changeable. It may be warm enough that you would want to swim and it may not.

Depends on where you're from. I don't swim from about Nov to May, but we were at Beach Club in Dec, 03 when it was in the 30s at night. People were in the pool...not too many crowds in the pool then

The temps in february are typically 60's - 70's, a bit cool, but you'll probably be able to swim. The beautiful thing is that the 2pm-4pm rain showers you experience in the Florida summers are nonexistent. So you've got that going for you...which is nice.

Yes you can swim! The water in the pool is heated to 82 degrees and as for getting out- well I see that you are from the Midwest. It all depends on how you can take the cold and how fast you can get to your towel! :D

That is if it's even cold. I have already told about us bringing matching sweatshirts for 16 people to take a Christmas picture at night and it being 88 degrees out and the next year taking all shorts at the same time of the year and buying sweatshirts at the park.

So you never know!

PS- We are going to POFQ in two weeks and the kids will be on the dragon slide!

When you are from Maine with 6' drifts of snow back home and you are in Florida you are required to swim!

As a fellow Midwesterner, we stayed at the BCV and swam 2- days and it was wonderful. Plan on doing it if you would like. Cant wait to get back.

When we were there mid-February we needed our winter coats some mornings and once the sun set it was coat time again. The afternoons were probably low-mid 70's; not swimming weather for me.

We will be down there in two weeks, we plan on swimming. We have friends that live there now, they say it's in the 80's and great weather. I would bring some warm clothes and some clothes for hot weather. Have fun :flower1:

we went last Feb and indeed the pools were heated. BUT, never again. It was sooooo cold when we got out. However, I know the weather can vary quite a bit. It was barely 70 when we were there with the exception of one 79 degree day (which was a nice pool day). Other than that, it was overcast, chilly and we didn't like it. I may be crazy, but when I go to FL, I want to be hot!!!!!!! Went back for July 4th and got our wish.

Yes, you will be able to swim. The pools are warm, at night steam comes off them. Its getting out that might be the problem. Jan is usually chilly and the first time we went in Jan we froze our butts off getting back to the room. The next time we went, I brought our thick heavy robes from home strictly for the purpose of getting back to the room after being wet. Worked AWESOME! Another suggestion, take a couple extra towels and use the dry towels to wrap up your hair before you head back to the room. Keeps your hair/head warm and won't chill you to the bone. My girls can't wait to swim. They love Disney pools. Thats all my eldest keeps talking about, the Movies pool with Sorcerer Mickey shooting water at her. LOL
