Hey all! I've posted this question elsewhere, but thought I'd try here too. We'd like to visit Epcot for 2 days around President's Day....I know it's busy around that time, but I'm thinking not as busy/crowded as end of June/early July. Anyhow, DS has off school the Friday before Pres. Day (Feb. 16) and then Monday (Feb. 19). My question is which days in this time frame do you think are least crowded at Epcot?? I can go with the Wed. & Thurs. (Feb. 14 & 15) before that Friday he is off OR the Tues. & Wed. (Feb. 20 & 21) after Pres. Day Monday...OR, I can split the days...Thurs. and Tuesday. What do you think a good strategy would be to avoid the majority of the lines?? DH hates standing in line, but we'd really like to take DS to Epcot and then to UO. Any suggestions on what days to hit Epcot to maximize our time there (& not standing in lines) would be great!!! I'll take any ideas/suggestions...... :thanks:

Definitely go the Wednesday BEFORE President's Day. That week of Pres. Day is the bad one. In fact, if you are staying onsite, that Wednesday (Feb 14) before Pres. Day is the last day of Value season. If you check in that day, you will get a much cheaper rate for your entire stay. Check in after Feb. 14 and you will be in Peak season.

As for crowds, Wed. & Thu. are you best bets for lower crowds. By Friday & Saturday things will pick up. By Sunday it will be CROWDED.

Good luck with your trip planning! I would also choose February over June, just on the weather alone!

I agree with BrianD, and go BEFORE!!!! We were there last year around President's weekend. DS had a 1/2 day on Weds, and no school Thurs & Fri. We arrived Tuesday night, and the parks were decidedly quiet on Weds & Thurs. Started to get a little busier on Friday, and Saturday it was almost CROWDED. We left on Sunday to go to Ft Myers for a week so I can't comment on the rest of the time.

Good Luck!!

Thanks....I was thinking of going BEFORE the holiday....now here's another question: with FW (Epcot) closing at 7 and WS closing at 9 (w/ Illuminations), and the "lower" crowds....can we do Epcot in a day....or plan for 2? DS will just be 8yo and probably not "into" WS....he will be into Test Track and the "thrill rides"....so, recommendations for how many days???

Just a bump to see if anyone else has any input...... :confused3

Definately Before

As for EPCOT ina day-yes it can be donein one day, however there are some things that can get the kids very involved-my guys loved the games and activities -it was a very rainy day so being inside worked well. They have always loved WS too, just be mindful of what you want to do.

We will be there Friday for the Pres week and it does get crowded. That is also NASCAR Daytona time and many families do a trip and combine the 2. :moped:

Thanks....I forgot about NASCAR (not a fan of it).....so, I found out Daytona is Feb. 18, 2007...so, it's definately looking like before the weekend for Epcot. No wonder "value" season ends right before that....Daytona, Bike Week, spring breaks...jeez!!! Gets pretty busy! Thanks again!! :thumbsup2

Update: decided to stay at ASMo Feb. 14 & 15, trek over to Universal Feb. 16 & 17 (and get our AP's :yay: ), then to Ocala to DFIL's after park on Feb. 17th...and fly home Feb. 19th....President's Day! :woohoo: How's THAT sound????
