Feb Presidents week crowds? Discounts?

Planning to go next feb and are leaning toward NOT taking DD out of School (might take her out for a trip to Orlando late this fall) Anyway how are Pesident's week crowds. I've heard the weekend through GW birthday can be busy at WDW but the rest of the week people have siad isn't necessarily so bad. We'd either go down and do Universal over the "busy" weekend, or maybe not go until Tuesday and then come back the following Tuesday. So how are crowds? And what's the chance of getting a discounted room at HRH for one night?
