Ok, I can take a week in Feb or a week in March for our trip to Disney. Not sure which DVC resort we would stay yet. Feb would be around 16-24 and March would be around 21-30. Can anyone help me in which time would be better? Will Feb be too cold? Will March be too crowded?

Thanks in advance!!

You aren't likely to find anything for those dates in March, since that is Easter, and everything is probably currently booked up. Your February dates are over Presidents Day week, but other than that perticular weekend, it shouldn't be as bad.

Yikes, Prez week or Easter week. I guess Prez week would be a better choice in terms of availability. However both are less than the 7 month window. Maybe the OP should call MS and see what's available for either timeframe as it may make the decision easier.

Ok, well if I am able to get in, for Feb or March, where would be the best place? I know it'll still be cool, so pools wouldn't matter.

Since you are a new SSR owner, that's where I would go if I were you! Get to really know and appreciate your home resort! One never knows, you may hit swimming weather!:wizard:

I agree. You are most likely to find availability there as well. If I had to choose, I'd choose the week after President's week, since the week after Easter will be SUPER crowded, but most of the February week should be fine.

February can be a bit cool a night but it is still very pleasant. I stayed at OKW last Feb. (one of the coldest weeks in many years) and we had a great time. It was during Presidents week but with good planning you can still have a great time. I suggest checking out Tour Guide Mike's Website for your planning.

I have stayed at SSR (1 Bedroom) and OKW (studio & 1 Bedroom)...loved both...Rooms are bigger at OKW...both resorts are awesome. My wife likes OKW a bit better. Both resorts are peaceful and a nice change of pace after a day in the parks.

We will be staying at BWV for the first time in April '08

Well, we got in to OKW, studio for March. We've never stayed at a DVC at Disney, only Vero so far. We are very excited. Considering going from studio to 1 BR though, any thoughts?

March is pretty much booked and will be Peak Season. Go in February. The weather will not be as warm, but it will be more manageable.

Congratulations! We stayed at OKW this summer for the first time and really liked it. It has become my grandson (13 y.o.) favorite resort and he's stayed at all. I think it was the community center and basketball court that won him over. If you go to the 1 br let me warn you, it's huge!! We had a group of 8, plus an toddler in our 2 bedroom and it never felt crowded. The only thing is the 1 br will spoil you forever. We went from OKW to the BCV and the difference in size when unbelievable. Thank goodness several of our folks left and didn't move over to the BCV. Enjoy!! -- Plus, make your dining reservations NOW if you plan to eat at any of the restraurants. You are into your 180 day window and things will book up since you are going during one of the busiest times of year!!

We both think that if paying for a 1 bedroom is worth it, OKW is the place. The 1 bedrooms there are truly like a 1 bedroom apartment! When it's the 2 of us, we don't like the 2 Q arrangement of OKW studios, so we would go for an OKW 1 bedroom.

If you can swing it...go for the 1 BDR...Huge...Laundry...You will be spoiled forever.
