I have been toying with the idea of a quick 4-5 day trip to Disney around President's Day to brave the crowds. Well, I've been checking airfare. For starters, there are days upon days where there are NO flights at all left on Southwest the week BEFORE and of President's day. They fly 6 flights a day from our airport. Then I checked JetBlue-- they have a lot of booked flights as well-- also, the airfare for what they do have is almost $300.00 each way pp. Thats almost triple what it usually is. I looked as early as Wed 2/11 and the whole day is sold out with one airline. Just seems like A LOT more people traveling to Orlando then when I went last year at that time!!!

Kilee- i think you said it yourself - President's week is Feb vacation for the northeast and many of us head south. Airfares usually skyrocket in anticipation of heavy travel. As you get closer to the end of Feb and beginning of March, you'll start heading into spring break weeks. For those of us who are locked into these vacation weeks, we have grown accustomed to heavier crowds. We usually avoid the parks on Sun and Mon- there are plenty of other things to do.:sunny:

I went last year for a almost 2 week timeframe at the same time. DS has that week off. Anyhow, I didn't have no where near as hard a time booking travel, nor as costly.
