Does anyone have any idea how are the crowds in late February?
We are planning to go for the 21-28. I called the CRO and I was told that this was peak season. I understand that Presidents Day is the week prior to our arrival but I really did not think it would be peak season afterwards. Please help and let me know what yall think. I am debating rather to take the children out of school earlier to beat the crowd. Feb 21-28 would be perfect for us due to the Mardi Gras holiday. Does anyone else take their children out of school for vacation? I am feeling the guilt:o

I don't know anything about the crowd levels but I can tell you that many NH public schools are on vacation that week next year. My 14 year old niece gets to go and many of her friends are also going that week. I may just have to join them.

The end of our trip last year was the beginning of Mardi Gras and there were TONS of people there from Louisiana. It was a major disappointment. I'm sure it doesn't compare to the summer months, but it was busy. You also have Daytona and Cheerleading competitions.

Thanks for the info. I am trying to decide on another date when it is less crowded. We just got back ( June 13th-21st) and the first four days were not sooo bad however it really became very crowded towards the end of our trip, especially at MK.

I just reread my post, and I thought that I should add that we went to WDW in Sept one year, and we loved the crowds, or lack of. In Feb. for the first part of our vacation, there was no crowd. However, Mardi Gras makes a HUGE difference. We just had to wait in lines for rides. It wasn't horrible, just not the lines waiting that we liked. I hope I'm not sounding contradictory (sp?). If I had to go again in Feb. we'd go a little earlier to miss the crowd. However, it didn't ruin my vacation.

We were there Feb 24 - March 2 of this year. Although the weather was not that great we had a wonderful time. The crowds were almost non-existent. At night my ds and I were often the only people at the Boardwalk at 9 p.m.!!!!! He had the carnival games all to himself. We were able to walk on most rides and walk into usually busy restaurants w/o a ps and be seated immediately. Except for the often rainy weather it was one of our best trips ever.
