We went on our first Land/Sea cruise and spent from Feb 3-6 at WDW and Feb 6-10 on the Wonder.
Well, I made a PS for Cinderellas Breakfast (got up at 355 AM for that one) and made the ressie for the Thursday we were at MK....had to do that 90 days out and I based that day on the Early Entry day at MK being on a Friday. Well, they changed it to Thursday and blew my pre planned extra AM at MK. I was ticked to say the least.
We were made the "family of the day" and went behind the scenes and rode the train with the characters to the front gate and opened the park! I was totally ticked until I saw my 5 year old run to Princess Aurora on the train smiling like crazy! How can you stay mad when you have that happen?
On the way to the front train station we got to sit with Mickey and Minnie who started signing our 7 year olds cast (broke his arm before the trip). We got to open the park and got photos when we threw the confetti to signal the opening.
Then we got passes to the front of the line of rides at MK. As if that was not enough, there was a bag of goodies waiting for us at the Grand Floridian!
When we got to the port, I checked my KTTW cards and noticed that they had the wrong rotation on it. I got the rotation set with the DCL concierge months prior. They went to the ship while I was still waiting on the couches for the opening, and got that fixed even though they said we would have to change tables. I said I wanted to stay at the table I had and requested months prior. That was all taken care of prior to boarding.
I got a call from DCL staff every day of the cruise and they personally took care of any little problem.
There was only one thing I can think of that totally made me mad. When they got the biggest and strongest cast members up to my cabin and peeled my fingers off the verandah railing as I screamed that I was not leaving!
Even with the bumps, the Disney customer service shone through. Now I have to wait until Feb for our Eastern Cruise!
