I am planning a surprise weekend trip for just DH and I.


I was thinking Valentine's day and coming up on the 7 month window searched touring plans.

The weekend before are 2-3s and Valentine's weekends and 6-8s..

I just booked the weekend before at the GFV!!!!!!! For the prior weekend.. thinking the shorter lines would be way better than the exact date..


Please confirm I did it right and there is not some fancy/special stuff there for Valentine's Day!

You did the right thing! 2/17/14 is President's Day...it'll be very very busy that weekend (2/15-2/17) and busy for the rest of the week. We end up going President's Day week every other year as the kids get February and April vacations from school...so I can tell you that week in February is always busy.

I've gone the second weekend of February for the past 2 years, and it's always been a great time to go. Crowds are fairly low. The only thing that's hard to predict is the weather. In 2012, it was in the 60s -- but this year was perfect. I think it's much better than that latter weekend due to President's Day.

Another vote for a great time to go. We go camping near Tampa around those dates every year, and, as it is so close, we just HAVE to visit WDW at least once.

While there, see if you can get into Vickie and Al's or Narcoossee. Great for Valentine's Day!
