First cruise on Disney Wonder, second cruise ever. Looking forward to this one especially. Family of 4. Wife, I, two daughters, 20 and 6.

This is a great site for information on the cruise. I feel like I am on the boat already.

Finally!!!! Someone going on this cruise from DIS.

We are going also with me, DH, and DD7. This is our first cruise! I started a roll call thread on the first page...maybe we can get a list going.

Tara

Hi gang!

I will be on this cruise too:thumbsup2 5th DCL (4 on the Magic & 1 on the Wonder) for me and first cruise for my sister...it's going to be a sister trip for us with no kiddos this time around:)

I am happy to see this thread started:wizard:

I am happy to see others too! I think I am going to start a thread if no one else has....

Okay....I started a roll call. Let's keep them coming!

Tara

popcorn:: Thanks, Tara for starting the thread! I am so looking forward to showing my sister all the fun things the Wonder has to offer...especially pirate: night with the fireworks:woohoo: :woohoo:

No problem! So far I have 5 families for our cruise! I can't wait to get more. Maybe we can have a meet and greet on Sunday afternoon. Anyone game?

Yeah, that will be fun! Is anyone going to make door signs for their doors? I have made some before and it's fun to see the doors all decorated:) It usually makes it easy for my kids to find the cabin but since this will be a mom's only cruise :confused3 ;) I stil might go ahead and make them:thumbsup2

I have been looking at them all night! LOL

I am looking for a good DIS one....we need to name our group and come up with a cool sign.

I guess we can do that later when we get everyone or at least more people...or to heck with them and lets vote now! LOL Just kidding.

Tara

Tara, are you talking about the signs people make on the Dis signatures? if so, yeah, that would be great! I was talking about making signs to decorate the doors of the cabins on the ship...I need to find a photo to post here...I made some really nice signs that had the Disney Magic ship and some Disney characters on it that said "Welcom aboard the Magic - Hutchison Family". I then print them out, laminate, and attach magnets to the back and stick them right onto the outside of our stateroom doors:cool1:

Anyone have excursions planned? I think I want to go to Atlantis and then Serenity Bay the adult only area on Castaway Cay. I have never been to the adult only side...just the family side:)

I was talking about magnetic signs too...but a DIS Signature would be great!

We are doing the Stingray, Snorkel, Bike, and Float tour at Castaway Cay and at Nassau we have not decided. We think we are just going to do the straw market and maybe the zoo.

We get to start making reservations tomorrow night at MIDNIGHT!!!!

So excited.

Oh, okay, I thought so but just making sure. LOL! Your plans sound great! the stingray area is really cool! they also have a sandcastle type contest along the beach that is fun (the kids liked playing w/the hermit crabs nearby). The bike ride is fun too as it goes by Serenity bay and along a path with ocean views and don't forget to eat at the BBQ! I love the cookie dough soft serve and the fresh fruit stand is so yummy!!

Okay, i am getting so excited for this trip! my sister has never been to FL so that is exciting too! only thing I dread is the long plane ride from San Diego to Florida:rolleyes1 :upsidedow

DD loves hermit crabs....I wonder if we could keep one alive till we got home. LOL!

Tara

Hey Everyone,

We'll be there!! Our first cruise.
It will be me, DH, DD11, DS10, DD7, DF and her DD11.

I am really getting excited now. Being able to book excursions tomorrow makes a little more "real".

Tara--we would do a meet too. It would be great for the girls to meet. Maybe that would make it easier for them to go to the clubs.

I'll check back tomorrow to see if everyone got the excursions they wanted!!

Welcome aboard Pixieprincessmom:)

The kids clubs are great! my kiddos loved them so much that we had to practically drag them out to spend time with them ;)

I see your from Louisina? My husband is from New Orleans and we are headed that way to spend Christmas with my in-laws:woohoo: I love the food there:love:

We are from Louisiana too!

Looks like we are girl heavy! The girls are all 6 and 7...which is great! They will be in the same club.

Did you guys wanna plan a meet?

Tara

Ah, that is awesome! I love Louisiana! people are so friendly in the south  not so much here in Calif:confused: I can't wait to celebrate Christmas in New Orleans...I need my annual beignet & coffee

This is going to be a Louisiana Reunion Group! LOL

I can't wait to start calling tonight at midnight for reservations. We want to make Palo reservations for dinner but I don't know what night. My daughter is a huge ariel fan and would be devistated if we missed Tritons night. Maybe we will just do brunch.....Darn it.

I looked at some old navigators today and made a schedule for us (I know the times and things could be different) for Kids Club activities and wine tasting, beer tasting, and martini tasting. :rolleyes1:

Yeah! :tink:

Tara, I just booked my Palo ressies this afternoon and there are still lots of time slots open for brunch & dinner. I just reserved a 11:00 brunch & we are doing dinner on the last night as I figured we will have gone through all the rotatations of different restaurants. You don't want to miss Pirate's night with the show & fireworks!pirate:

A good site to go to that has tons of pictures/menus & info. is google = Castaway platinum Club . It is a web site that a fellow Dis person that has gone on more then 70 Disney Cruises!! there are the four day navigators for the kids clubs & Palo's menus & pictures of the food.

I would'nt miss a dinner at Palos! it is soooo much better then the reg. restaurants and the brunch is to die for:woohoo:

Ahhh, too bad my hubby won't be on this Louisiana cruise...he'll be at home watching the kiddos;)

Thanks for the tip! I have looked at Navigators all day comparing and looking for time changes and trying to choose excursions. ARGH!!!!!

I think I would prefer a Palo dinner and I hope you are right about the rotation thing. I guess I could check and possibly change on the first day if it was Tritons on the last night.

Only 6 more hours till ressies open for me!!! Yeah
