Feb 28, 2013 Dream...Anybody Else Going?

I'm going on my 1st Disney cruise on February 28th, 2013 on the Dream. I'm super excited!! Anybody else going?

Howdy all,

We are coming along on this cruise. WOOHOO!!

Lets get this thread to moving!!!

I am Kathy and this will be DCL cruise # 24 for me and I have done Carnival.
My adult son Peter (30) will be coming with me this time as DH has to work.

But dont feel badly for DH as we will be on the Dream together on 1/31 and just got off the Fantasy last November. So he has done DCL cruises recently too.

Peter didnt get to come on those so we flipped a coin to see who would go with Pete since it costs double occupancy one of us may as well go along.
I won the toss!!

Greg will stay home and watch the dogs. LOL!!!


Please add me to the FE. I will check out the thread for it soon.

As you can tell by my post count i am an avid poster on the Dis so expect to hear from me alot.


I havnt had time to read all your posts yet but I will go do that in the next couple of hours.

Looking forward to getting aquainted with all of you while waiting for this cruise.

Are any of you making door signs?
I love decorating my door with signs.


Is anyone doing any excursions in Nassau?

I've done a few of them but this time we thought we would just walk around the Straw Market and my son has never been through the Pirate museum so we may do that too.

On Castaway Cay I always rent a bike and ride around both bike paths. I like going up the Observation tower to look over the island and take a few photos.


Guess I better get to thinking about walking the dogs and getting dinner started. I will check back this evening to see if anyone has posted.

Can you tell I am excited about this cruise!!

This will be our second cruise on the Dream...you are a Veteran for SURE!!! I didn't decorate our door the last time but would like to this trip. Any tips? I am afraid two magnets will look silly. But I don't want to make 20.

Not sure about excursions. I love Castway Cay...worried about the water being too cold for this FL blood so bikes might be a great idea.

I'm going to try to make some door magnets this cruise. I've never done it before, and I'm not very crafty, but I'm going to try!

We're planning to stay on the ship in Nassau. We'll probaby ride bikes on CC too.

I just booked a room on the Feb 28th cruise for my 6 year old twins and me. Any single parents, by chance? Looking for a "date" to Palo one night - I think I'd feel totally weird going there alone. But, I'd really miss that food!

Went on a Disney cruise about 10 years ago with an old friend, long before kids for me, and had a great time. Can't wait to see how much fun it is going to be with them!

The water is always too cold for me too. I am also from Florida! But i find plenty to do.

I always make a standard size ( 8.5 X 11) door sign. I make 2 or 3 of them and that pretty much covers the door. I have lots of Disney pictures that work great for door signs.

If anyone is interested in them I am happy to share, just send me and e-mail and I will send them to you as attachments. I have characters and scenic type pictures. My e-mail is at the bottom of my post. Just put Door Signs on the subject line or the date of this cruise so I wont delete you.

I use magnetic paper that you can get at many Wal Marts and Office supply stores. I think I got 5 or 6 sheets for $12.00. You just print off the computer right on them and it works great.
