Feb. 26-29 Crowds & Weather?

We've just booked a spur of the moment trip to WDW for Feb. 26-29 and I am wondering about historical crowds and weather for this time of year. In past trips we have gone during value season, and I am curious about how the crowds compare. I have seen a mention of cheerleaders being at WDW that same time--can anyone confirm that or provide details on where the cheerleaders will be? Also, we are hoping that it will be warm enough to swim, although the weather will seem wonderful in comparison to Michigan so I am not to concerned about that. Thanks in advance.

Usually at this time of year, the crowds are manageable. The largest crowds start about three weeks afterwards.

The cheerleaders normally have most of their activities at Wide World of Sports. They are not a problem in the theme parks.

It should be more than warm enough to swim while you are at WDW.

We'll be there Feb 21-28. This is our 5th? trip around that time. It's Mardi Gras week in New Orleans and the crowds in late Feb/early Mar. at wdw are typically moderate. One year it coincided with Presidents' Day weekend and there was a noticable difference during those few days.

From past trips I would expect the lines to be in the 30 minute to 45 minute range for the major attractions most of the time, so use the Fast Pass to cut down your waits. We went in July last year and the lines were longer than that, but it was still a lot of fun.

The weather can vary from chilly (sweatshirts) to HOT this time of year. Some trips we didn't swim at all, but we usually get a couple of trips to the pool in... Have a great trip!

We'll be there from 2/27-3/6. The cheerleaders (including my 2 step-daughters) will be there 2/27 -3/1, staying at one of the All-Star resorts. Competitions start on Sat and end Sun at WOS.
