Feb. 24, 2011, 3 night Disney Dreams, Roll Call

We are spending three nights at WDW before the cruise and then one night afterwards before flying home to frigid CT. Currently we are signed up to take the DCL bus but I'm wondering if it would be better to make different arrangements. What do other people do? What time can we start boarding and when do the busses from WDW usually arrive? Do you have to wait long before the bus back to WDW departs at the end of the cruise? I'm just trying to minimize the time spent in the resort lobby and cruise terminal and maximize our time on the boat and at WDW.

;)I got it and you are in...see you on board...we are doing a meet @ boy Voyage @ 3pm on the 24th right before the fire drill...see u then:woohoo:

Argh! I couldn't PM you! :guilty:
Sent you our room/cabin/stateroom number via visitor message. Hope that works...:upsidedow

Hello Everyone,

The group looks great...should be lots of fun. As of now we have 9 total cabins.:thumbsup2 I am sending out the final list on the 12th via PM t those that are participating. If by chance you would like to join last minute please PM me. Also we are going a group meet for the FE and NonFE because there are so many kids around the same age, so even if you are not in the FE group please come by we like to meet everyone. It will be at 3pm in @ Bon Voyage:banana: Cant wait to meet everyone.

This will also give us a moment for those involved in the FE to let me know about any cabin upgrades (for those that are lucky:worship:) and if by chance your unable to meet and receive an upgrade please stop by my cabin (it will be on the final list) and leave me a message on my wipe board and I will make any changes.

Im super excited now. Our baby sister was able to get on the boat so the birthday girl is happy and I am just ready to hit the beach:woohoo:

We always use FL Tours just so we don't have to wait on DCL. Problem with that is depending on your resort and all the other peoples resorts your stop could be rather quick or could take forever. Check out FL Tours and at least compare pricing. They are AWESOME! Will even stop by the store on your way to the resort or to the port.

Is the adult pool as small as it seems? And where are the whirlpools for the adult pool?

Did you get to try Remy on your cruise? Is it worth it?

I'll download pics soon! Yes, the adult pool is small and come to think about it, I don't remember seeing a whirlpool in that area. I really hope I just missed it. That would be horrible if they left that off. The one near the mickey and donald pool was loaded with kids so I don't know how well that's going to work.

....getting anxious. :surfweb: since we booked a GTY room we are still waiting for our room assignment. .... nothing today. :sad2:

Where can I find if they have assigned us a room yet? I have looked everywhere!

I didn't take my FE this time but it would have fit fine.

There was less than a 20 minute wait for the AD up until the Castaway Cay day. It seemed that everybody left the island and headed for the pool and the line was ridiculously long. We sailed with a little over 2500 guests so I'm not sure how the line is going to be with a full ship. I would definitely do the AD on day one just to make sure you get it in. My daughter cried because she didn't quite make the 48" required to ride. :(

As for the food, Cabanas was always good. The lunch buffet has a very nice variety. This place is huge but still got crowded at embarkation. We had boarding pass 11 and there was plenty of seating when we arrived but the place filled quickly. I still can't get over the hand dipped ice cream with white chocolate sprinkles, coconut, and pistachios!! Yummy! lol I struggled finding something at AP that I would like and ended up not liking my choice. The fish had no flavor. EG and RP were delicious! I played it safe and went with beef on those nights. Now, room service, on the other hand was a nightmare. My daughter called twice and was on hold at least 30 minutes each time and still didn't get through. I really hope they work that out before paying guests get onboard. This is going to otherwise be a HUGE problem.

The counter service area was great! They had a pizza station, hamburger/cheesburger/chicken station, and a sandwich/fruit station. My girls spent alot of time there. I didn't like that the drink station was further aft. I guess that was done to reduce congestion.

Hi, how exciting to see the Dream early!!!! Wow!!! By any chance did you see any shows? How was the play areas for kids? That ice cream sounds great!!!
Thanks for answering our questions!:cutie:

We did see Believe and I thought it was great. Reminds me alot of the last Tinkerbell movie with the daughter trying to convince her father that fairies do exist.

The kids clubs are very nice. The club and lab are connected by what they call the workshop. It looks like a small cafeteria. The play rooms of the club are arranged in a circle with the magic floor in the middle. The sinks for handwashing are the coolest thing. DD5 did not want to leave. She was there during the day, left dinner early every night and stayed until closing.

Here is a tip that I wish a CM had given me. It took me awhile to figure out how to turn on the lights and the TV. You must use your KTTW card. It's a brilliant idea to conserve energy but takes some getting use to.

Do you have to keep the KTTW card in there for them to work?
