Feb 2009 code watch

Sadly, I have to leave town today for a conference & won't have access to my computer where I have this thread favorited for quick access. What/where is the fastest, easiest place for me to check for a code release if I can get my hands on guest use computer? Thanks. I hope it comes out before I leave this afternoon!!!!

You could call Disney and ask if there are any new codes released for your dates if you can't get to a computer.

I booked my package including airfare and paid it off. So, if a great code comes out, what do I do? Can they change my reservations without messing with my airfare?

Yea I've been following that thread this morning.. have you read the responses from what some of the deals were after 9/11.... Sounds like pretty big discounts, puts free dining to shame!

You only need 1 AP, run your numbers and see if it would be worth it to upgrade one ticket.

Yes there are room codes! Last year I changed my res from free dining over to a room code..for just the 2 of us (and baby) ,we paid for dining...but saved more with the room code!

I went to the website and they are still only showing the codes for the fall getaway! Hopefully soon one will come out!

I'm sorry,..I meant that there are room codes usually released..I didnt mean that there are any now! Sorry for any confusion

This is exactly the reason I use a travel agent that specializes in Disney travel. I am not using the one that promotes these boards. I travel a lot for work and can't always be available during times like this and it is nice to know I have someone doing the work for me.

The place to look for the discounts would be here on this thread or at mousesavers.com

Just got this email reply from my TA (who specializes in Disney)

"We have heard that there is a discount coming out but haven't gotten any details about it yet.
I do know it won't be out today, the cm's are getting informed on it but the actual discount won't be available for another day or two."

Just called Disney, asked the guy to check if I had any codes or were there any codes I could apply to my existing ressie. He said to try back in December! I hope this was just a lame CM, I dont know if I can take waking up at 4:00 to check the DIS every morning for much longer..

The suspense is killing me though.... I only wish I knew a CM that did reservations for inside info LOL!

I must admit that I am still a bit worried about the whole deal. My package is paid in full and it overlaps 2 days of Presidents Day weekend. I have already paid for the holiday room, but I am so freaked out that when I call to apply a code that something will go wrong, whether it be that, or the preferred room. I could care less about paying $$$ to alter the reservation. I just dont want to have to rebook the whole thing. I shouldnt have to should I, just to apply the code? And if it doesnt cover preferred rooms, I can just drop the preferred right???

Can you tell I am jittery about the whole thing???? Someone, please reassure me everything will be okay

My god, planning this trip has been nothign but stress!!! From waiting for the day I could book the package, to booking the ADRs....

I was just wondering why they think something huge is coming out tomorrow. I don't want to get my hopes up............too much.
