I can't wait to see all of you and get aboard...I have GOT TO STOP READING THE BOARDS and freaking out inside about our trip getting messed up somehow... I'll take cold weather as long as we get there and get going!! Who else is freaking out silently about this Magic snafu??

So now I'm reading about possible prop damage on the Magic due to the situation at CC. What does that really mean for us? My husband is spouting off about maybe it will be out of commission for weeks---just a bit negative for me. Anyone know how quickly they do turn around a damaged ship? I would be really nervous if we were on today's sailing but what about next week? Yikes!

Fingers are crossed. I would hope they have a plan in case this ever happens. Either way I'm heading to Florida. Hope if finally warms up. It won't be much fun on the ship if it's in the 60's.

It won't be much fun on the ship if it's in the 60's.

Even a 60 degree day on the ship is better than a day when I have to walk through two feet of snow for a mile on my way to the office! And now they're predicting a few more inches of snow for Tuesday morning, which is my first day back to work since the big snowstorm this week. I can't wait to go outside without my big winter coat and a pair of boots!

I went to Walmart today to buy an extension cord for my bedroom. I came home with two new sweaters, three new shirts, and a half-dozen tee shirts. I can't go to any more stores or I won't have any money left to shop while I'm on vacation! And yes, I did remember to buy the extension cord.

Welcome Lisa!! Arn't we glad we decided later is better?? My daughter Madeline (Maddie) is turning 13 on March 8th...she's in 7th grade, let Sarah know... she is a typical 7th grader, on FB- driving us Mad with ichat...yikes!!

On another note- Disney Ladies and Gents!!! Start willing the weather to change down there!! Lets get this party started early with a montra instead of "I think I can, I think I can" to " Get warm down there, Get warm down there" or "Let us set sail on Saturday, Let us set sail on Saturday"!! Who's with me!! Can't wait for a little Disney Magic!!

I've been doing the "warm weather dance" for weeks. One of my colleagues is also cruising next week, he'll be on Liberty of the Seas, I think. He wasn't sure, he goes where his wife tells him, They're sailing from Miami on Sunday, so he's been dancing with me. Our office mates are going crazy with our talking about swimwear and sunscreen and what we're going to do in the warm weather. I think the rest of the staff is praying for good weather here so that we don't get stuck, and for good weather and good happenings for us on our cruises so that they don't have to listen to our tales of woe when we get back! We did check our itineraries and we won't be in the same ports at the same time, but will be just two ships passing in the night.

I have been so busy this past week and just getting to read the boards OhMyGOSH I can not believe the news about Magic and the injured prop issue. Sure hope they get it repaired soon so we can board on Saturday.

As far as praying for warm temps it is so chilly here in GA...4 inches of snow this past Friday and a chance for an inch or two Monday!

Hope to see y'all real soon on the Magic!!!

It's official, I screwed up our plane reservations...we're not flying to FLA together. Hubby and child #2 are flying down Thursday. Child #1 and I are flying on Friday. Oops. Now I just have to cancel a few apts. Thankfully, Hubby's sister lives near Orlando, so no extra hotel issues.

So, I have to finish packing a whole day early. Which is why I'm writing...What is everyone wearing for Formal night? Tux/Suits for the men or kakis and a blazer? What about the kiddies? Can they come in kakis and a button down? Do any of the men in my life need ties?

Hillary-
David owns a tux, so he's bringing it, and I think I am borrowing a tux for Jakey- I also borrowed a blue blazer and tie, found a tie from last Easter, and bought a seersucker blazer for him on ebay- so that is what he'll be wearing- you can so borrow whatever blazer/jacket that he's not wearing since we're just a few doors down! I put out feelers on FB and that's how we got all the stuff to bring- I got a dress from Nordstroms- floor length, just because! I'm all for dressing up, since I live in jeans normally! I think I could find an extra blue blazer for your 9 year old from my neighbor- let me know! Don't hesitate about doing a tie swap on the cruise with us!
Can you all believe the cruise is almost here!! I CAN'T WAIT!!

Hillary is hubby and child#2 leaving on SWA out of Manchester? If so we are too we are on the 6:10pm flight. As for formal night DH rented a tux on the last 7 night cruise but this time he is wearing dress slacks/shirt/sports coat. I have seen just about even amounts of both on board. Whatever you are comfortable with. See you Saturday (or maybe thursday on plane).
