I just booked this, not 100% I am keeping this cruise, but wanted to start a meet thread and see who else is out there. It is myself and my daughter, who will be 13 at the time, escaping the Vancouver Olympics in 2010 and cruising!

We just changed our dates to this cruise as well. I am not sure if we are keeping it either but I would love too.

Me - 42
DH - 53
DS - 13
DS - 7

We're excited! We did the Eastern in January 08 and are ready to see what the Western has in store.

We're booked as well. We were on the 2/21/09 Western and booked this 2/20/10 Western while onboard. We enjoy the Western intinerary. It will be:
Me, DH, DD (12), DS (10)

I was just checking prices and it looks like some pricing may have gone done since my booking (we have a Cat 6 and a Cat 11). I just asked my TA to check it for me.

It looks like the cat 11 price has gone down. I just emailed my TA about it. (we have a cat 6 and a cat 11 booked too - rooms across the hall from each other)

We have the 6 and 11 across the hall too. Last time we had connecting Cat 6, but that was too pricey this time. The TA adjusted our price on the 11, saved us about $200. I wish the Cat 6 had gone down too.

Hello - we hope to be on the cruise as well. We will be booking while we are on the Wonder at the end of May. It will be me, DH, DD (17) and DD (11). This trip is to celebrate my DD's high school graduation - she wanted to take a 7-night DIsney cruise as her graduation trip and since the Magic will be in the Med in June, we have to travel early. Although I am a bit concerned about the weather - we'll have to keep our fingers crossed for no snow when we leave home and warm, sunny skies in the Caribbean.

Looking forward to getting to know of fellow cruisers!!

We booked this cruise while we were on a 4 day Bahamas cruise back in March. We are getting married at Disney on FEB 13, so this is our honeymoon. We are staying to play around at the parks and then drive down to the port and jump on the ship. I loved the Bahamas cruise. We picked this one because I've always wanted to go and its a longer cruise.

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding - my DD wants to get married at Disney someday too!!

My DH and I will be joining you!

We're veteran DCL cruisers--this will be my 9th and his 8th. I just got back from a "girls only birthday celebration" cruise on Wonder in May.

We've done the Eastern route, so it's time to try the Western.

This is a belated anniversary cruise for us (12/30 is the real date). This will be the first Christmas for our twin grandchildren so we don't want to miss a minute of the holiday festivities. We'll also be celebrating DH's 60th birthday, but he doesn't know that I'm telling everyone I can think of!

We'll be in a Cat. 11 (7125). We've been in the same room on Wonder, and I love the location!

Beth

My husband and I have made reservations for the Disney 7 Night Western Caribbean cruise February 20th - 27th, 2010.

This will be our first cruise and was wondering if any other adults without children are going on this cruise.

Michele

Welcome to the DIS and welcome to the cruise!

We will be just two adults (also from New Jersey). This will be my 9th DCL cruise, and DH's 8th. I was able to sneak away without him for a "girls only" four-night cruise in May.

With one exception, all of our cruises have been just the two of us. We took our DS, DDIL and DGD who was three at the time once. We've had a great time on all of the cruises.

This will be our first Western Caribbean cruise. We've done one Eastern Caribbean, and all the rest have been four nights on Wonder.

What part of New Jersey are you from?

Beth

Hi Beth,

My husband and I live in Marlton, which is in South Jersey.

Although, I'm looking forward to our cruise in February, I'm enjoying the planner process, too!

Are you and your husband flying down on Friday night or Saturday morning? Which airport are you leaving from?

We are flying down Saturday morning from Atlantic City airport.

Michele

We used to live in Pemberton many (too many!) years ago, and lots of friends in your area.

We're flying from Newark Airport on Friday night and staying at the airport Hyatt the night before. I wouldn't take a chance on flying down on Saturday in the winter. My office mate missed his cruise two years ago in February because his flight couldn't get out of Newark.

I love Atlantic City airport. I've flown out of there a few times. Newark Airport is only a 40 minute train ride from my front door, so it's very easy--no parking worries, no worrying about who will take us or pick us up! Of course, I haven't booked the flight yet!

I love the planning process too. It seems to make the time go a little faster. This will be the longest we've ever planned a cruise. We usually book around four months out, but this time we were able to plan much farther ahead.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask! As I said, this will be my ninth cruise, and my ninth DCL cruise!

Beth

Hi Beth,

My husband and I took your advice and booked a room at the Hyatt Orlando Airport for Friday night.

I will be sure to get in touch with you if I have any additional questions.

Thanks for all your help.

Michele

We are also booked on this cruise. It is the first cruise any of us have been on. I am travelling with my husband, daughter, 3 grandchildren and my neice and her family. We are all a little nervous that a cruise was not the best idea for us. I have never posted before but I have been reading this forum for a few months and have learned alot. If the cruise is a success, part of the reason will be the information I rec'd here.

Hi all! This is my first Disney cruise. It will be just my husband and me. I have to change my signature as I had previously booked the 5/30/2010 Double Dip. My daughter is getting married in Sept and was supposed to fly to DW to babysit my dogs while we cruised. We are driving our 5th wheel and plan to stay 2 wks at DW and then the cruise. So I had to move it earlier in the year to accommodate her and her wedding. This is a fine time for me as I will be on the ship for my birthday and we are celebrating a belated 25th anniversary. I look forward to chatting with you and hopefully meeting you
