Woke up at Castaway Cay. It is absolutely beautiful. It was very cloudy. Went to Beach Blanket Buffet for breakfast. (We never did try any other place for breakfast except the last day). Got off the boat by 9. We dropped my 3 DS off at the Camp and we headed over to the adult beach. Because it was cloudy it was not crowded over there. We got a hammock. Alot of people rented bikes. Around 10:15 we got beeped by the Oceaneer's Club. The text message said our 3 yo wanted to be picked up. I have read in this board that they don't seem to try too hard with the kids if they want to leave. I found a Disney crewmember who had a walkie talkie. He asked them if my son was crying-they said No, so I told them we'll be there at 12. The sun started coming out and it turned out to be another beautiful day. We headed back over to the family beach to get lunch. The family beach was packed. I thought it was prettier than the adult beach. My DH went to get my DS's and we started getting lunch.
He came back with only my 3 yo. My other 2 didn't want to leave. I kept reading how the kids won't want to leave but I didn't think mine would love the camp that much. Lunch was OK. The lobster burger was different-I can't say I loved it. All the characters came and everyone was dancing. It was alot of fun. Went to the beach-water was warm enough to go swimming. Sent my DH to get my kids at 2pm because I wanted them to go swimming. They came back crying because they didn't want to leave the camp. Wow-I was very surprised. But extremely grateful my kids loved it so much. Went on the banana boat ride. Alot of fun. At 3:30pm we get kicked off the beach and had to head back to the boat. It was a great day. I wished we could stay later(like in Nassau) or at least to 5 pm. I wonder why they make you get back on the boat so early when we had the day at sea the next day. Wished I could of went bike riding around the island. Anyway, Castaway Cay is everything everyone says it is. It's a highlight of the cruise. Went back to the Mickey Pool. It was closed because someone had an accident. Someone said they cleaned it for 2 hours. We stayed there for awhile then went to get ready for Triton's. Food was great again. Service was great. No complaints. Since we brought wine on board, we would walk in the restaurant with a half of glass and no one ever said anything. Someone told me after the cruise, if you buy a bottle of wine and don't finish it, they will cork it for you for the next evening. I wish I knew that. We just bought glasses of wine thinking a bottle would be too much. After dinner my 2 DS and mother in law went to Treasury Planet. Our 3 yo was sleeping, so we walked around, had a drink at the bar, went to check out the shops and shutters. The pictures come out great-they are just expensive. At 10:30 pm we got beeped my 3 yo woke up. We went to get him anc called it a night. I'll continue tomorrow.
