feb 15, 2003 cruisers?

Congratulations to everyone who have received their documents. YAY!! What a Winter to escape to the Carribbean. We leave on 2/12 for the Beach Club Villas.

Valerie

Doctorrick and Teammom,

I know you guys have category 3 rooms, as do we. My cruise document package was missing some info when I got them. We didn't have the tux rental information, but I knew how to take care of that. I do remember on our cruise last year, we received a letter from the concierge letting us know when to meet them to make our ressies. We did not receive this. Have you gotten it? I also have read on other posts that concierge guests can make Palo ressies in advance too. Did you get this info? Just checking being that I was missing some documents.

If you want, you can e-mail me Mumph39@aol, or just post here. Thanks.

Hope everyone is ready. We can't wait to escape the cold, even though its been a balmy 36 here the last 2 days!

Diana

Your cruise is getting closer!

Welcome, in advance, to Cozumel!

Thanks Sally :smooth:

I have been reading all your helpful posts, and do plan to stop by the course. Either before or after our Dolphin swim.

I can't wait to escape this cold weather. Enough is enough!

no i haven't received anything from the conceirge desk.
from what i have read it is hit or miss whether you get anything before the cruise

Diana & DoctorRick I have sent a pm to you with the pertinent info from the letter. We are getting down to crunch time!

Tomi,

Thanks so much, that's exactly what I was looking for. I'm so glad that it's my second cruise and I knew something was missing. :D

MooCow(Robin),

Which Dolphin Swim are you going on?? We are going at 1 PM. I wish we had an earlier time, but of course they are all booked now. We do plan on golfing after. Luckily we are on the late dinner so we have plenty of time.

Hi Valerie,

We are booked for the 2:00 swim. Looks like we will just miss each other. We will most likely catch a cab over there early, do the park, go for our swim, and then shop and golf. When I booked there was only 3 spots left for the 2:00 swim. We also have the late dinner, which I am really glad for. I don't want to feel under pressure about getting back to the ship by 4:00 to shower and dress. I've seen all the shows 3 times now, so if I miss them it's no big deal. Looks like our "premier" at sea will be Jungle Book 2, should be good! Hopefully since it is releasing in the theatres on the 14th, it will be on the first night.

I just lugged the suitcases out of the attic to air out. I bought a mask and snorkle today at sports authority (don't want to use one already used by anyone else) I got 4 disposable waterproof cameras, and endless rolls of film. Now comes the fun of packing!

Only 2 weeks from today!!!!!!

Thanks for sharing Robin. I agree with you on the late seating-you are much less rushed when i t comes to getting ready. We also will most likely pass on some shows. Good thing is my Mom is coming along and she can go with my son if they want to. More free time for us!!

So sad about all the news today on TV, isn't it?

Hi Valerie & Robin - not that you asked :jester: but our dolphin swim is scheduled for 3o'clock. It looks like it's going to be a steady stream of DISers.
Didn't think it mattered much as far as wrinkles go whether things are crammed in a couple of days or several weeks before so our family is already almost all packed. Although I think my obsessive compulsive behavior has caused my boys to have nightmares; DS had one where he found his suitcase empty when it was time to go and DH had one where when he arrived on the ship I'd changed everything to his winter clothes. But he can't hold me responsible for the one about finding nothing but icky beef stew on board :teeth:
and, yes, Valerie the news today has been very sad. DH is a news junkie so it's been on all day. They train so hard it's like their whole family becomes part of the program. I can't even begin to comprehend what it must be like to be waiting and then be told they're not coming home.

Hi TeamMom,

Looks like lots of us are in the dolphin swim mode on this cruise. It was my pick, so I am especially looking forward to it.

Started pulling out the clothing for the trip. I think I am going to start slowly packing around the middle of the week. As I said, I usually wait till the day before but I really want to try to pack less( I always overpack) and maybe if I give myself more time to think about it I'll travel lighter!

We are leaving for BCV also, on the Wednesday before the cruise. It's getting close now!

Hi - We have 8 from Bellingham, MA and 4 from New Orleans going on the Magic 2/15. Can't wait!!!

Wbouse,

Welcome to the Dis Boards! We have 8 from Connecticut. Is this your first Disney cruise? Snow tomorrow again, I just can't wait to get to warm weather. I checked weather.com and it is in the 80's in Cozumel and Grand Cayman.

This is our 2nd Magic Cruise. We went last Feb. vacation to the Eastern Carribbean and absolutely loved it. We are traveling with a DS14, DD12, DS10 and DS7. I am kind of laughing with all of the "Blilzzard of 78" stuff I'm seeing and hearing! Eight more days, and we are gone!!!

Well, the kids have a snow day today. I can only hope that it doesn't snow next Friday when we have to fly! The kids are my captives today, so we're going to pack them up!

I am soooooo looking forward to 80 degrees. I'll take 60 or 70 too!

Welcome wbouse! We have a group of 27 from Long Island coming along. This is my family's 2nd Disney Cruise and we were on the Eastern same time last year too.

Counting down...

Welcome wbouse to the boards.

The snow here makes it all the more reason to want to go-of course it won't snow any any of the days when we all leaving!!

6 days and counting for us!!

Hope to meet you all next week.

Valerie

I'm looking out the window and watching the snow come down, wondering if the kids will get out early today and when I'm going to start up the snowblower! I think that this will make vacation all that much more enjoyable. It's 80 in Cozumel!!! Haven't packed a thing yet, but will shop for sunscreen later today!

OK. It's almost here! I'm sure everyone's weekend will be full of preparations. My family is flying Wednesday and will spend 3 nights at the WL before the cruise. We are notorious for our packing light abilities, but there is no way the stack of clothes I have set out will fit into the carryon I usually travel with! Oh well, we can check luggage for once. Happy packing everyone!:Pinkbounc
