feb 15, 2003 cruisers?

Oh, Geeez. After sounding like the town crier around our house this morning ("Moocow got her tickets!! Moocow got her tickets!!"), I just got a major FAKE OUT when I brought in the mail. There was an envelope from our TA. Granted she's supposed to call us to pick up the docs, but I thought maaaybee. But no, it was just our excursion options :(

Congratulations, Moocow. We are definitely on our way!

Hi teammom,

Gee, I wish it was me, but it was Valerie. I just got home from work, and no fedex yet! Last time he came quite late, so just maybe

It is coming so fast now, I just don't seem prepared!

Oh, man I won't even try to clear this up with my DH. He already thinks I'm a sicko for getting that excited about someone clear across the continent getting a FedEx package! So let me just correct my congratulations to:
CONGRATULATIONS, VALERIE!! I am just as happy for you!

We are getting close. I have started getting ready but still so much to do and organize. Poor DS told me that he had a nightmare last night that when it was time to walk out the door to leave for the airport he found out his suitcase was empty  . I think this was probably brought on because I have already begun the packing process and all of his summer clothes have been stripped from his drawers. Poor child.

It shouldn't be long for you all to get yours-getting mine is a sign of good things to come !!

It's getting close now. Anyone going to be at the Beach or Yacht Club before we sail?? We are checking in late Wednesday 2/12.

Keep me posted.

Valerie

off by 1 day!
That's right there here!!
All three cabins, and 15 peoples worth!!!!
just so you know, i booked thorugh Dreams.

Doctorrick,

After reading your post, I went and checked both the front and back door, and no package for me

I also booked with Dreams, so mine should be coming soon, I hope!

;) Hi everyone and Happy New Year!!!

Just caught up on reading the last couple of pages . . . No documents here yet either.

We're (Me, actually) starting pulling out all the summer clothes. My youngest wants to know why she can't wear the bathing suit under her clothes to school. Aha, because I know for a fact that when I pick her up, she'll probably only be in the bathing suit!! Gonna try to pack reasonably well this time. Over packed for the 3-day so thinking the 7-day could be disatrous!

Maybe today????

Talk to ya later.

I booked our cabin through Disney Vacation Club(point exchange) and my Mom's Cabin through DCL.

Congrats Dr. Rick on receipt of your docs!!

Haven't thought much about packing except bought a new dress for formal night-DH will wear a rented tux. He has many nice suits but it is just so much more to pack and think about!! As it is he takes a jacket for Lumiere.

I usually start packing about 2 days before we leave- I just can't do it any earlier. I like to wing it!!

Valerie

Well, because I am a late reservation, I have no idea when I will get my documents, but based on your postings I did call again and they actually gave us a cabin number instead of just a guarantee. For me, this is progress. 5 weeks and counting! (I can hardly wait!) :Pinkbounc

I just realized I won't get my documents until after the 30 day mark has passed. I used Disney air, and the tickets are in the documents. They don't have the air info until 30 day mark, or at least they don't tell you until then. So on the 14th I will call to get the air info, and hopefully the docs will come shortly after.

I'll pull the suitcases out of the attic in the next few weeks to start airing them out, and slowly start washing and ironing the summer clothes. My teenage daughter brought way too much last year, I believe 7 pairs of shoes! I will have to somehow tell her there is a limit and she can't do that again. LOL

Does everyone have their documents already? Every night I check the milk box and behind the plant to see if they've been left on the doorstep. My children are also famous for bringing things in and setting them in out of the way places like their rooms! :D

Took all the advice and contacted Captain Marvin's for the short stingray excursion on Grand Cayman mid day. Keep trying to get parasailing at Castaway cay, hoping for a cancellation. Fury Catamaran through DCL at Cozumel. Key West? Maybe the trolley.

Back to work, just had to take a vacation planning break!

We are approaching the one month mark... YIPPEEE!

No documents for me yet, but I did get my flight information, so the documents should be coming soon!

I am really happy with our flights this year, direct both ways, we will be in Orlando just after 12:00 on Friday, so that gives us free time. I managed to book pretty good seats for Cirque du Soleil at Downtown Disney for that evening. We will probably hire a limo service to get us there and back, not too much more money than renting a car for one day. Then back to the Airport Hyatt to rest up for Saturday! This is going to be a fantastic vacation!

Marti, just like you we are doing the trolley on our own in Key West and shopping. Cozumel we are swimming with the Dolphins, and Grand Cayman we are doing the Disney island tour and swimming with the stingrays.

We're getting so close :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

Well I'm finally starting to get organized. Booked the 1/2 day Stingray City snorkel excursion with Captain Marvin's yesterday. The kids are really excited about that. We figure we'll hit Mr. Sancho's on Cozumel and do a jet ski tour in Key West, then just take in the sights. Had the kids try on their clothes, not bad just need a few things here and there.

It's really amazing how much more relaxed I am since last year's cruise. It's great knowing exactly what to pack, and what not to pack. However, I probably will STILL overpack.

Still haven't gotten my documents yet. Spoke to TA yesterday, she hasn't received them either. Not worrying... yet!

Diana :D

Just checking in. How's everyone doing with preparations? I'm in packing mode which means a few things in a suitcase but mostly list after list. Putting stuff together for a two week trip with weather from Caribbean warm to the possibility of chilly nites at WDW is testing my organizational skills ;) . Poor DH was shocked when he found out how much his suits had shrunk while hanging in the closet. So much so that they can't even be altered to fit. It's off to Nordstrom Rack we go today. I'll also be checking for additional clothes for ds and his friend to replace what's been outgrown. Finding warm weather clothes in the NW can be trying even in summer since it is usually warm here for a day and half in August.

Diana, I was noticing our countdown clocks are almost exactly one apart. Will you be staying at the Hyatt the night before? We haven't gotten our details yet (no docs :( ) but that's what we're hoping for.

Happy packing everyone . . . we are gettin' close

Last night after work they were there. For those of youwho thought I was kidding, they were behind the planter! :D My dh tux vest with disney characters purchased on ebay was also there. (That was a hint I got from another thread on this board.)
It was our anniversary last night, so we talked about the trip while we were out at dinner.

Hope everyone else receives their documents soon. I think I'm the latest reservation, so they must be on the way!

Disney dreamin'...

Just spoke to my TA, docs are in hurray!

Tomi, we are staying at the Marriott in Cocoa Beach the day before the cruise. We picked that one because they have rooms that sleep a family of five. Sometimes we have trouble and have to book two rooms. Two other families of 5 are joining us there as well. Our other friends are staying near Universal Studios.

Last year I packed way too much. We were basically in our bathing suits all day. On the ship and on the islands. Just needed a few shorts outfits and dinner clothes.

I finally get to do the happy document dance!! :sunny:

I also today got my Cirque de Soleil tickets! Now I'm off to book the towncar to take us from the Hyatt to Downtown Disney.

Teammom, we are staying at the Hyatt the night before. I think this is the most excited I've been for any of our cruises.

Robin ºOº

I'm only doing a pre-doc dance. I was finally coaxed (okay, it was more like tormented) into calling the TA this afternoon. I didn't want to bug her but DH started poking at me about 2 o'clock to "go ahead, call her" When I finally caved at a quarter to 5 she told me the WDW trip part came in but the Cruise docs just arrived at "corporate" over in Portland today so they won't be in Vancouver until Monday.

Robin, I'm so envious. Cirque de Soleil is quite a way to start your trip! We board the plane at 8:30am but don't get to Orlando until 6. After being in planes and airports all day, we're not going to feel like doing much other than eating and getting to sleep. We're wimps :)
And Diana, I took your advice and took a couple of outfits out of the suitcase. On a great vacation like this people will have better things to do than worry about me wearing the same outfit twice, right? ;)
