We had PS at Kona Cafe but everyone wanted to eat breakfast in the room. I really wanted to go there for B & D but didn't get a chance to do either.
Every morning we had to wait for my father because he had always misplaced something in his room. One day it was his passes another his keys. It was always something but he usually found it in a few minutes.
But not today !
I can't remember why but we left seperately to go to the MK. My father had just bought those Motorola hand held e-mail machines for his business. It's about the size of a beeper but you can type whatever you want and send it to any e-mail address. So, I had one and my father had the other. They work great BTW.
They were supposed to meet us at the MK at a certain time. That time passes and I get a message from him saying "I can't find all my cash (he brought a lot) and my watch." So we go on rides (Dumbo, Snow White, Haunted Mansion) and he still can't find it. About two hours later he e-mails me saying they found it and are on the way. We meet them for lunch at Tomorrowland and they filled us in on what happended.
After about 1 1/2 hours of looking for it they called hotel security. Security came up and went through the entire room with them. They took off the mattress and everything. My mother was getting worried that someone had come into their room and taken it. After another half hour of looking my father found it in his video camera bag in what he called "a secret compartment". The head security guy said to my mother "you'd better hold the money, just give him $10.00 at a time".
And she did !
We had 6:00 pm reservations for dinner at the California Grill. The fireworks were at 7:00 pm so I made the PS an hour before. I had never been at the CG before but my parent's were and loved it. We had a nice round table not too far from the window. The window seats looked great. What a view from there !
We all ordered the BBQ Beef Filet with a mixture of mashed sweet and Idaho potatoes (their specialty). It was awesome !!!
Everyone loved it. Just before 7:00 pm the open the blinds all the way, lower the lights and pipe in the music. WOW, what a view of the fireworks. It's great looking from the table but even better outside on the observation deck. I didn't realize how far behind the castle the fireworks are launched from. It looked like about a mile.
I highly recommend the CG for the food alone but it's a must do with the fireworks. Probably the highlight of our trip !
The MK closed at 7:00 pm that night so we went back to the hotel after a little shopping at the Contemporary.
Coming next Day 5 - Epcot
