Feb. 05 dates - need advice

I'm thinking Feb. 9-16 - i'm assuming the madri gras crowd will be leaving that weekend. does any school system have the week of the 14th off? Please advise. thanks.

somewhere on the boards there's a very comprehensive poll of when the schools are closed... we have the week of the 20th here in new york...

I live in the Detroit area and we have the week of February 14th off next year. We arrive on 2-12-05 and then we're cruising on the Wonder on 2/13/05 - can't wait!

We're from Louisiana and we're going Feb 5-12 for Mardi Gras. Our kids actually only have off Feb 7,8 & 9. Most of us are letting them miss the 10th & 11th. This is our only break besides Thanksgiving, Christmas & Easter Week.

Adding to Stephill's post -
Many of the schools in New Orleans have the ENTIRE WEEK off, so I would not count on Mardi Gras crowds being gone that weekend.
