Hi:
Has anyone with a fear of heights ridden Soarin'? Did you have any problems?
My niece is a little apprrehensive about the ride and would like to know if she could go on the ride.
Any help will be appreicated.
Thanks,
BarbaraK

I don't have a fear of heights but I can see where Soarin could be bad- If you do attempt it I would ask for the back row (3) as you dont go near as high as the 1st two rows (I think only 3-4 feet off the ground)

I do have a fear of heights, and have been on soarin. It really isn't that bad, you just have to focus on the screen and it will go pretty quick. But I do suggest that you ask for the 3rd row, it would be best since it would be her first time on it.

I'm terrified of heights! I HATE the Sun Wheel (or any ferris wheel), close my eyes at the hill on Splash, and will NOT ride TOT. But - Soarin' is one of my favorite rides and I've never had even a moment of fear on it. Has never even made me a bit nervous! Enjoy!

the front row is supposed to be nearly 40' off.

If you look down, you're up there!

However, my older son who hates heights rode this ride 4x and loved it! If your niece is young enough, she cans sit cross-legged, that may help her to not feel as if she's up so high.

Also, the screen pretty much grabs your attention. I didn't look down until our 3rd time on the ride!

Thanks for taking the time to respond to my questions. I will pass all the information on to my niece.

I may be a little late here, but I am very afraid of heights (I hate to fly, hate being in upper floors in a high rise, don't like Ferris Wheels, etc.) but I LOVED Soarin'! (I was in the front row, too.) The film really does distract you.

I rode for the first time last week. It's great!!! I have trouble with heights sometimes because I have dizziness all the time, I have to be very careful about quick movements, but this ride didn't bother me at all. I was chatting with the woman next to me because she was obviously nervous. She said she was scared of heights, but this was her second time to ride!! So I think your niece will enjoy it even if heights bother her.

I am afraind of heights! That said, I did Soarin' but will NOT do it again. For me it is not looking down as much as the sensation of falling. When we topped the mountain and went down the other side, I almost lost it. Yes, it is beautiful but not worth it for someone who is scared of heights and
I'm 36. I loved screamin but not soarin!!!
