The website says open from
April 4th – 18th
What happens after 4/18????

This was one of the budget cutbacks made by Universal. My guess is that it will be closed after the 18th to the late spring or early summer season, unless the overall crowd level warrants opening it sooner.

That's a pretty good bet.

We have not been in yrs. What exactly is this? How similiar is it to the tv show? My teens 16/19 loved the show. Will they be able to participate? Is there a prize for being the winner? Is this worth our time?

It's over 18 to audition with a minimum height and weight requirement. You can win four 2-park tickets that never expire. Here's our trip report when my son & I entered:

thanks for the link. That is to cool. One of my teens is 19 so maybe he will be up for the challenge. My 16 yr old will be dissappointed but I had assumed from a legal standpoint that 18 and older would be the case. Congrats to you and your son. very cool.

Your DS16 will be able to do the Food Challenge at least! :rotfl:

Between stunts, they get some "volunteers" for a competition to drink some stuff they mix up with a blender or to have bugs placed on their head. Not for those with a weak stomach. They have a bucket handy just in case. No big prize - just a few minutes of fame. I'd rather hang from the roof than eat that stuff.

ya but dont the drinkers of the yucky stuff only get a mug or some stupid thing like that? No park tickets! I think it is a waste to only walk out with a mug u can also buy when ur gulping down bugs and sour milk!:confused3
