My brother just called me from Universal Studios. He just took second at the Fear Factor show! :thumbsup2 He didn't get a chance to say what he had to do because the phone was dying, but good stuff, huh? :woohoo: When I hear what they made him do I'll update.

Second = Walk of shame. Congrats for him getting that far. I might try it out one day.

Hey, think of all those that didn't make the cut to even compete. At least he won two one day/two park tickets and a shirt.

We just got back yesterday and we saw the Fear Factor show twice (on different days). The kids really enjoyed it. My son was picked to be a helper at one of the shows (he flipped the lever to blast air on the people during their first stunt).

So, my brother called again and he said that there were three stages.

First: The six competitors had to hang from a metal bar after a platform dropped away. The two who fell off first were eliminated. The one who held on longest got to choose a partner from the 3 other remaining contestants. That guy picked my brother as his partner.

Second: (Part 1) Two teams of two compete against each other. One person is up on a platform while the other person runs between a throwing spot and a carnivorous eel tank while being pelted with water cannons. The runner has to fish bean bags out of the eel tank and throw them to the partner who has to catch them. My brother said the eels felt just like the bean bags.
(Part 2) The teams get a number of chances (detemined by the number of caught bean bags) for a person on a swinging pendulum to toss squid to the person below who has to catch them in a bucket. The team that catches the most squid moves on to the final.

Final: The two finalists competed simultaneously. First they climbed a ladder grabbing flags while water was shot in their faces by a water cannon. Then they walked a ledge grabbing flags. Then they grabbed another flag from the top of a fireman's pole. Then they slid down the fireman's pole and ran across the stage to a car. Next they had to start the car which raised it 30 feet in the air. They had to climb out onto the hood and retrieve 3 flags from the car's grill. Then they climbed back into the car and into the back seat where they had to use a bazooka to shoot out of the window and hit a target at center stage. First one to hit the target wins.

My brother said it was a lot of fun. He won a hat and two 1day/2park passes. The winner won a shirt and 4 passes.
