Planning my day at Epcot and I am torn on what to do. It is 9am Park opening and we are doing Askerhaus for a PPO ADR of 8am. My gut tells me to FP soarin’ and go to FEA right after breakfast and get in the standby line, thoughts?

If you're going to be there anyway, yes, absolutely do FEA standby and then FP+ Soarin'. Otherwise, you're running all the way across the park to hit Soarin' standby, then come all the way back for FEA.

@ddog171 I agree with this. Since youre doing PPO ADR at Akersush its definitely best to get in the FEA standby line, then do Soarin FP. ;)

Normally I would recommend a FEA FP but in your situation I think as others have said I would do standby FEA and get a FP for Soarin'.

Listen to your gut. Back when Frozen first opened I had friends (with more money that common sense) who got a pre opening ADR for Akershus. They showed up in Norway his wife and kids went to the closed Standby line for Frozen (they didn't stop this silliness at the beginning) walked in paid for the meal for everyone and went back to the line.

We did this in November and it worked out perfectly! We had eaten and been through FEA by 9:20

Soooooo they basically paid $120+ for an extra FastPass? I guess Disney charging club level guests for those additional 3 FastPasses is going to work out just fine. LOL

Yep he is a lawyer (and I had to plan their whole trip) and they wanted to be there when it opened. You might laugh (I did) he went in paid for his wife and 3 daughters and tipped the waitress his normal 25%. I asked where they ate and he said oh you mentioned pastries in France that's where we went.

They'd have been better paying the $10 no show charge!
That's true I have long believed that when you go to work for the Justice Department you must first surrender all your common sense and about 50 points of IQ

Worst part is that's a really hard ressie to get and it's a really good breakfast too!

I'm in the same boat. I have a PPO Breakfast at Akershus in August. My current thought is --
  1. Frozen Ever After (Standby)
  2. Soarin' (9 AM FastPass)
  3. Living with the Land (2nd FastPass - Move up if possible)
  4. Journey into Imagination (3rd FastPass - Move up as soon as tap into the Land)
  5. Get a late 4th FastPass for Test Track
  6. Finish up Future World West and head to the World Showcase (Canada --> UK --> France --> Japan --> US --> China --> Norway --> Mexico)
  7. Finish with Test Track and Spaceship Earth
Looking at the MDE listed standby times I tracked in Excel, this looks doable.

Positively love your speadsheets.

Thanks for the advice. Plan is to hit breakfast and then get in the FEA standby line followed up by the meet and greet with Anna and Elsa. After that head over to figment, FP soarin, and then living in the land. Should be able to get nemo and friends and turtle talk done before we head for lunch somewhere.

Just an FYI, we skipped the Anna & Elsa meet and greet because the wait time was over an hour. I asked my DD7 and she said she didn't want to wait. We were out of breakfast and in line for FEA by 8:45, off the ride by 9:20.

From what I've read, and my observations seem to confirm it, wait times for Anna & Elsa spike in the morning (35-50 minutes with some outliers), but drop off (25-30 minutes with some outliers) in the afternoon.
