I'm trying to figure things out for a September trip to DW. I'm thinking it will probably be cheaper to stay at a value resort and upgrade to dining plus from quick service vs. staying at a moderate resort and getting the dining plus included. Am I right? TIA!

Yes it is. The least expensive mod is CBR and it runs around $190 above what you would pay to upgrade from a value.

That depends on how many ppl are in your party. But from the looks of your signature there are just 2 adults and one under 3 child. So if you stayed at a value for $140 a night and upgraded 2 ppl from QSDP to DDp it would cost you an additional $40 a night, so $180 a night.

I know in off season you can get rooms at POR for around $180 a night so it would even out to be about the same.

Crunch the numbers for your exact dates and if it works out the same it is a no brainer to stay in a mod and get the DDP for free. It will cost you the same and you get to stay in a much nicer resort.

And staying at POR you will have a fantastic food court, a sit down restaurant and a boat to DTD. (POR is just a suggestion based on price of rooms)
