FD Pin code in my mailbox today, why????

I received a free dining pin code in my mailbox today. It covers the dates that have already been released to the general public. The offer is no different than the general public offer. Why are they even sending these out??? I was so excited when I saw the mailing, opened it and then realized that it was the same offer we already have booked for our October trip!!! Very frustrating.

Was the 'expiration' date the same as it currently is? Perhaps it's been extended?

Hi . My next door neighbor just received a card in the mail today w/ a pin for free dining October 3- November something (can't remember the date). We are going mid-October and I wish I had gotten that pin but we didn't....staying offsite anyway now.

You know, I didn't think to look at the exp. date. I threw the card away last nt. I know the dates you could apply it were the same as those already posted on WDW's Special Offers page but I'm not sure about the exp. Doesn't the current promo have to be booked by 8/14? I'm hoping they'll release another deal that may save my family more money than the FD does. I would think they'll do that soon

I received a PIN in the good ol' email box a few weeks ago, it was for FD for what looked to be the same dates that were already out to the general public.

On closer inspection, I found that they had stretched the dates a bit into the blackout periods.

In our case it allowed up to go during Thanksgiving week on FD where as the general public offer was cut off during the previous week. We arrive on the 21st of November.

I'm not saying that yours was the same, but I am now more careful in my inspection of the dates, mainly the end dates for the ranges of validity.

I just got one too. We cancelled our Sept trip and are planning for Nov 2011. Hoping they will have a 2011 code soon!

I got the PIN in email but it had the blackout dates avaliable. I was confused at first too since I knew that was the current public offer.
