OH MY GOODNESS! After spending 2 hours on hold I got the free dining. Now mind you we had already booked for 2 rooms at pop, one with kids free and the other with a room discount,so I already had a deal in place. After waiting 2 hours I saved a total of $78!!! Because we have to get 2 of the books I lost the extra money I would have saved. Still happy to have a discount and save money but the books. I am excited about them but at the same time I curse them!!!

Everyone is getting such a great deal with free dining. Why is it costing me more on this deal than on the kids stay/play free deal?

I had booked my res with the %off room rate, my "kid" isn't a kid according to Disney so the stay/play free deal wouldn't work for me. She also dislikes the kids meals, so it's better if she's an adult in Disney's eyes anyway.

Finally got through at 1hr and 40mins....20 mins before my first pt arrives..so that was good finally!!!! Saved a whopping 500 dollars!!!! We had 2 rooms...one with 1 adult and 3 kids with the kids play and stay free deal (we kept that as it was a better deal than free dining for that room) then the 2nd room was free dining which had 3 adults...so 500 (would be 600+ but the photobook cuts into the savings...no problem!!!!)
It was a LOOOONNNGGGG Wait, but so worth it.....5 dollars a minute..best deal yet

I know we have 5 people on the dining plan. That adds up to $900 for 5 nights. If you don't have many people on the plan you won't save as much with free dining.

If you are booking a new vacation you can do it on their website through the special offers, its under tickets and packages. you'll have to check availability under this new offer. If you have an existing reservation and you want to apply the new offer, you will have to call disney.

If you have several kids and few adults, that's probably why. The kids dining price is very low compared to their ticket price. A kids 7 day ticket is $234 vs. kids dining being $83.98. So if you are going value with 2 adults it only takes 2 kids for the stay and play free to be a better deal when you add the photobook into the equation, with 1 adult it takes 1 kid! We saved $940 but that's at a mod (so DDP) with two rooms (we were booked with a 35% off pin) and it was 6 adults, 1 child, 1 under 3. In our room, 2 adults, 1 child, and 1 under 3, the savings was only $190. The room with 4 adults was a $750 savings.

If you booked with the DDP get your ADRs quick. We're going 8/24-9/2 and I made my ADRs ages ago. Tried to change a few and it's slim pickings out there!

Yes, I'd suspect that it will be very difficult. I made ours at the 180 mark as we planned on having DDP regardless of whether we got FD or not so we've been set for awhile.

DH was on hold for close to 2 hours, but with the FD we saved just over $1000.00 for our 9 nights in Sept

Totally worth the wait!

WOO-HOO! Our group of five adults and three children just saved almost $1,000.00 with the new FD promotion. I can't wait for September!

And even though we have to pay for the Photo Book - I'm excited to see what it will be like. I'm a sucker for anything Disney and they probably take better pictures than me anyways.

I tried calling around 7... wait time was more than 30 minutes. I hung up bc I hate waiting. I called around 9AM, wait time was around 25 minutes... sigh~ hung up. I called around 11 AM... no wait time and changed to FD package. This trip, as of right now it's just me and DS 7 so the FD pk cost actually came our $15 more than room % discount pk with DDP that I booked originally.

But I changed to FD pk b/c it's like getting photo book for $15 and there is big possibility that my mom and sister might come along. So if they join, our pk price just goes up by there tix cost.

wow I got lucky! I made my reservation and was off the phone from start to finish in less than 10 minutes. I called just before 10

I called at 7am exactly and got through within a few minutes. We saved over $900. The kids stay n play free wasn't an option for us since by the time we go all will be 10 and over. Our plan is a little twisted though, my SIL and her DH actually can't go unless it's a week later, but we've booked the ressie's for them and us anyhow with hopes that it will get extended to October and we can changes the dates. DH, me and our 5 kiddos are going no matter what so we didn't want to watch this opportunity pass by.
