Fay Fay Go Away!!

Come again after we leave!!!! (no offense to anyone coming later) We've been here since Monday and it's pretty much done nothing but rain. I can handle a little rain, and we have, but come on! We're hear for another 8 days and they're calling for either t-storms, scattered t-storms, or t-showers everyday!!! I understand it rains in Florida, but a little sun would nice please!!

It's like a guy in the hot tub said...."A rainy day at Disney is better than a sunny day at work". I'm really trying to embrace that philosophy. It's kind of hard though when you're getting soaked and blown all over. I'll finish whining now.

I checked into OKW on SUnday and ( at 7a and my room was ready!!!) spent the day at DHS. No rain and no lines . Monday at MK all day and no rain !! No crowds either !! Yesterday at Epcot rain started heavy around 2p and it was really fun walking the countries. Today we have been at AK all day and it has rained all day worse than yesterday. We did do most rides 3 times including Kali !!! ots of rain and I guess I will take it if it keeps the crowds low!! We were going to hit a water park tomorrow but I have to check tomorrows weather.

It will be rainy for at least one more day...maybe two. If it's any consolation, it started clearing here in Miami this afternoon, so sunshine is on it's way. But probably not by Thursday.

We were down 7/26 to 8/1 and each day rain altered our plans -- had to leave the WL pool, TL, and the AK pool. We even waited on Sunday evening for Fantasmic only to see the "rain-shortened" version. (And that was after speaking to several cast members ) The "rain-shortened" version consists of a few fountains to the Pooh song the "rain, rain rain came down, down down, and the finale fireworks.

But DH and I still had a terrific vacation!

IT looks like it will be clearing up before the weekend. You should still expect showers in the afternoon. At least there are no more tropical systems coming that way. Hopefully they'll stay away next month. Is this your first trip home? I can't remember since we all bought at roughly the same time earlier this year. Thanks for all the support you gave me! Pam

Yes this is our first trip home. Have you been "home" yet?

Now they're saying that this thing called Fay ( I have a few other choice names for it) should be out of here by Saturday and we'll be back to just having the "normal" everyday afternoon rain showers. We'll see. I would just like to see a little bit of sunshine before we leave.

We left OKW on Tuesday, DW very nervous about flying in weather. TV selling fear about storm. Left from MCO with no problems after 10 days at OKW. Weather prior to Fay was glorious, no afternoon rain and plenty of sun, low humidity. No recession at Disney World, plenty of people and fairly long waits. New attraction in studios totally chaotic at opening of park, little or no crowd control.

I'm beginning to wonder if Fay is ever going to leave!! I was absolutely drenched last last at one of our EPCOT Wine Evenings and the wind even blew my glass of wine over. My kids' school was cancelled today because there's flooding and power outages in parts of Orlando.
But everyone says that as long as you don't mind wearing a poncho, the lines are really short!!

We go home next month, I can hardly what I have 3 more trips planned after that one. Our contracts had 06 and 07 points when we bought, we banked what we could and are using what couldn't be banked. Hopefully the rain let up today there. Here's some more just in case it didn't.
