Faxing Room Requests??

We leave for POR in a few days. We used to fax room requests the day before (such as requesting 3rd floor). I thought I read somewhere that Disney doesn't want you to do this anymore, but I can't find it.

Has anyone faxed a room request lately and did it work? Thanks for any advice!

If you have your requests noted in your reservation there is no need to fax.

We fax everytime and are always assured that it was recieved. (So someone, somewhere is reading them.) We have always recieved the accomodations we requested. Maybe it isn't neccessary and maybe they didn't make a difference, but what does it hurt to try?

The only place that does not take room requests is WL. I always fax mine out for days before departure as and just reiterate what my requests are.

Also, none of the DVC resorts take faxes. (Just mentioning this in case anybody happened to book a DVC unit through CRO.)
