Just starting to look at where we should book to eat in WDW and realised that I have the wealth of knowledge on here with all of you people having already visited. So What is your favourite WDW meal, why and which meal (breakfast, lunch or dinner)?

Having not been to WDW I can't really comment on my favourites, but definitely check out allears.net if you haven't already. They list (mostly) up to date restaurant menu's and prices etc. And of course, the food porn threads on the DIS!

Lunch at the Sci Fi Dine Inn at HS is great fun - the food is just your standard burgers etc but the atmosphere is amazing. You sit in cars in an indoor Drive In watching corny 50s Sci Fi movies. I wouldn't do it for dinner but it was a great lunch time option.

We also enjoyed lunch at the San Angel Inn (EPCOT) - on a hot day its amazing to go into the cool depths of the pyramid and sit by the water. You'd swear you were in a Mexican marketplace on a pleasant evening - watching the riders go past on the water and the volcano roaring in the background. The food is pretty average Mexican but the atmosphere is wonderful.

For a special occasion - we haven't eaten there but friends of ours (who are serious foodies and very well travelled ) said their dinner at Victoria and Albert was arguably the best meal they'd ever had!

I second the vote for San Angel Inn - It was our favourite!

We also loved Ohana, Whispering Canyon Cafe, Narcoosees, and 50s Prime Time Cafe -

Although, I am not too critical of my food -its atmosphere that is important to me - they could have served anything - (it helped that we were on free dining and I wasnt paying)

If we were ever to go back I think I would choose these again!

Bread n butter pudding at Raglan Road. I got one mouthful if my wife's last time and been waiting 5 years to get my own. Roll on December.

MMM thanks some delicious ideas right there. Not sure if were doing the DDP or not, am just trying to work out where we are dining to see if it is good value or not. We are definantly doing Sci Fi and T-Rex on arrival night....and must do a Belle meal for DD but we have 10 days to fill!

Not sure if we should do table service meals everyday or not? thoughts with time restrictions?

As we were on the disney dining plan last year we were at Disney restaraunts only. Our highlights were ( and were always dinner)

Hollywood studios
Sci if diner
50 s prime time diner

Epcot
Coral reef ( big aquarium inside the restaraunt)
Bier garten ( german pavilion)- Buffett plus lots of beer hall music. Kids loved it.

MK
Crystal palace - great character meal in MK

Hotel
Narcoossees at grand floridian ( we stayed there) ....over the water , top seafood, views of MK & fireworks . Music from show is played while you watch. Top spot ( pricey)

The best meal I have ever had was in the Queen Victoria room at Victoria and Alberts. Being a foody I was in heaven with a 10 course tasting menu with wine pairings.

The food and presentation was out of this world. Service was great with one server per table.

Counter Service loved Flame Tree BBQ at Animal Kingdom.

Other Tabel Service love Artist Point especially the Portobello Soup and Flying Fish with the Red Snapper wrapped in potatoes.

Also agree that the San Angel Inn is AMAZING!

My mouth waters just thinking about it!

I'm dreaming of a kids burger at any CS location...with fries.....or the nuggets...and grapes....or a mickey waffle

looking forward to pizza planet at MGM, haven't tried that one.

Oh favourite meals - don't get me started :rotfl2:.

Hollywood Studios - we love love loved 50's Prime Time Diner, I hate the pot roast and it was delish. My daughter still talks about the fried chicken and the atmosphere is wonderful. Same goes for Sci Fi Diner, just your usual burger and fries but the theming and atmosphere are wonderful. I also though Pizza Planet was a great value for CS.

Downtown Disney - drooling as I type this. Raglan Road - anything on the menu, but most particularly the Cluck Curry and the Dalkey Duo and the Bread and Butter Pudding. We loved it so much we went twice.

Epcot - loved Teppan Edo, great "show" and nice food.

Boma breakfast was a big fat YUM.

I'm sure I'll think of more but that's enough for now. Don't want to sound like a piglet :rotfl2:

I don't think I had a bad meal at WDW :thumbsup2

Having said that, next time I'll avoid buffets - I used to love a good buffet, but now not so much.

Yeah Teppan Edo was pretty awesome.

Just make your way through the food porn threads and note the places that look like they have good food.

I love food... so my vote is for all of it!!

But the two meals that stand out the most for me, that I will definitely repeat, are dinner at the California Grill (top of the Contemporary) timed to coincide with the evening fireworks (mmmmm sashimi! And the fireworks were breathtaking from there!) and early breakfast before opening hours at Crystal Palace, Magic Kingdom, so you get to wander up a deserted Main St (and the buffet/characters are great). Both experiences were absolutely magical.

Third runner up would be the dessert party also on a fireworks night, was great to get a closer view (though if I had to choose, I'd still pick the CG view) and the desserts were DIVINE!
