I've been reading some of the Vegan/Vegetarian dining reviews but would still like to know...what are your favourite TS places where vegetarians have a lot of options, or the chef was very helpful. My boyfriend is technically pescetarian but it's easier to just say he's vegetarian, haha. I'd like to know at least good one place for breakfast, and then good places for lunch/dinner. I'm already considering doing an Ohana dinner if we can get Chef TJ.

Thoughts?

We are pescatarian and felt like we had plenty of options everywhere we went.

We did breakfast at Cape May and Boma, lunch at Sci Fi, and dinners at Narcoossee's, Jiko, Kouzzina, Akershus, Kona, and Mama Melrose's. We agree that Jiko was the best, but other than that which one we remember as being the best depends on what kind of food sounds most appealing at the moment.

My DH says he thinks that if you're not in the mood for African food, the best bet otherwise is Narcoossee's. I would have said Akershus ... assuming he really likes seafood.

I just got back from Sanaa and it was awesome! Also liked Flying Fish and Tony's. If you can get lucky and have Chef TJ at Ohana then you are in for an amazing treat!

Hi
If you go to O'hana on a Monday through Thursday, ask for Chef TJ. We just returned on the 11th, and I had a great vegetarian dinner made by Chef TJ. He came out to talk to someone with allergies at the table next to us, and I recognized him from pictures on the Dis. He saw me looking at him, and I started to talk to him, and told him I was vegetarian. He said "stop eating. Don't eat another thing". He brought out the most delicious dinner. It was a huge plate of vegetables tempura, stacked up against rice and with a delicious sauce. It had crispy rice noodles on top. It was enough for 4 people. He said don't hesitate to ask for him. That this is what he does. So if you go to O'hana, make sure you ask for him. We got our picture taken together. He's so nice!!!

My DDs and I are also pescetarian.
Our favorites include:
Breakfasts in order of preference:
1. Tusker House
2. Hollywood & Vine - my Dh's favorite, but I like Tusker House a little more because of the interesting African inspired dishes too.

Lunch: in no particular order
1. Sunshine Seasons - the seared tuna salad is awesome! I also like having a California roll to share with my DD. My mom's favorite is the roasted beet salad with goat cheese, I really like it too!
2. Columbia Harbour House - The Lighthouse Sandwich is awesome! Their chowder and fish 'n chips are really good too!
3. Sci-Fi - really good veggie burger, you can get it with cheddar and sauteed mushrooms (YUM!) and the fries are really good.

Dinner:
Kona - The Tuna Oscar is SO good! They also offer sushi from the Kona sushi bar for appetizers.
CRT - the vegetarian pasta is really, really good! I've enjoyed my meal there both times I've been. They also have a salmon dish but I haven't tried it. The appetizers were also really good.
T-Rex - because the theming is cool and because the Triasic Tuna appetizer is just awesome!

This coming trip we are also trying these restaurants because of the vegetarian or fish options:
Flying Fish
Teppan Edo
O'hana
The Plaza
Crystal Palace (breakfast)
Le Cellier (I've heard good things about the gnocchi)

I've also tried a few that I don't recommend because the options weren't great:
Chef Mickey's
Coral Reef (worst restaurant experience at WDW!)

Just still wish Spoodles was around though! The lemon, shrimp linguine I had last year was SO GOOD! My favorite restaurant experience last year!

Thanks everyone for your awesome replies!

I had been considering Coral Reef but decided against it due to mediocre reviews. @Eventamy I do NOT recommend the Plaza! It is very small and the food is not very good at all. I have heard very negative things about the vegetarian sandwich from every review I've read. In my opinion you'd be better getting CS than the Plaza.

I'd definitely recommend Sanaa based on the fish I had there last week.

The current version of their "sustainable fish" entree was an arctic char, served with a couple scallops and a few shrimp, on a bed of veggies. I thought it was fantastic.
