Brilliant post by debbie re on site restaurants and a great help for us newbies.

How about people letting us know what their favourite off site restaurants are - counter buffet and table. ( I know there are loads but a starting point for us would be great) !!

Always on my must do list are (in no particular order) Outback Steakhouse, Olive Garden, Bennigans, Tony Romas, Bubba Gump, Hard Rock Cafe & Bahama Breeze :)

Texas Roadhouse, Mimis Cafe, Sweet Tomatoes, Orlando Ale house, Black Angus, Olive Garden, Loads more

Well this is a tough one for me because I love offsite restaurants even more than those onsite! I'll try to keep the list sensible. :teeth:

Tommy Bahama's Tropical Cafe at Pointe Orlando;
Capital Grille at Pointe Orlando;
Seasons 52 at Sand Lake Road (this had never appealed to me much - seemed a bit too "chainy" from what I'd read - but we decided to give it a go in January and now I understand why it gets rave reviews. Delicious food and an even scrummier setting. Oh, and they also have ZD chardonnay on their wine list);
Old Hickory Steakhouse at Gaylord Palms;
Cheesecake Factory at Mall at Millenia (we like to sit at the bar for lunch and share a selection of appetisers);
Brio Tuscan Grill at Mall at Millenia (ditto. I like the lunch portion risotto);
McCormick & Schmick's at the Mall at Millenia (it's so difficult to choose where to eat when we go there. PF Chang's is probably our least favourite, but that's good too. And now there's the Village Tavern which I keep reading about and feel compelled to try! :rolleyes1 );
Forte at Reunion;
Eleven at Reunion;
Orlando Ale House;
David's Club at the Omni Championsgate;
Ruth's Chris at Sand Lake Road;
Norman's at the Ritz-Carlton;
Cala Bella at Rosen Shingle Creek;
Margaritaville.

The following is a list of some of those on my "to do" list. I'd be pleased to hear any reviews.

Roy's at Sand Lake Road;
Press 101 at Dr Phillips;
Oceanaire at Pointe Orlando;
Maggiano's at Pointe Orlando;
Dan Marino's Tavern on the Lake (although I understand Dan Marino no longer has anything to do with it. Not sure what happened there - it hasn't been open long :confused3 ).

Cheesecake Factory,Logan's,Villa De Flores At Gaylord Palms,Sweet Tomatoes,Olive Garden,Texas De Brazil For There Salad Bar....

Golden Coral All You Can Eat Buffet
Westren Steer Great Pork Chops

Red Lobster
Tony Romas
TGI Fridays
Cheesecake Factory
Ruby Tuesdays
Bubba Gumps
Hard Rock Cafe

Claire ;)

Tracy, I had heard of Manny's before but didn't think it was worth the drive down, Just shown DW & DW your pics, they say we are going in August now.:goodvibes

Pebbles is nice - it's just off I4 just before you get to the Orlando Premium Outlets (heading North).

But like a lot of posters have said, you can't beat Outback Steakhouse! I treated DBoyfriend last year and it was only $50 total including 2 beers, huge steaks and a dessert :thumbsup2

Wayne,

Make sure you go... you won't be disappointed!
But, we always phone from the villa before driving down there, at around 4pm.. If you phone ahead, you will have a wait time of about 15 mins. If not, you'll be waiting for at least an hour!
We've got it off to a tee now.. (pardon the pun), but we have got their number saved in the phone, so even if we are out golfing, we phone ahead and get our name down!! LOL!!!

I thought Pebbles had closed down ages ago?? I know it used to get a good write up years ago.. we went in the mid 90's. It was OK.. but DH wasn't over keen!

There was a big camper van blocking the front of it this April - so I assumed it had gone. Correct me if I'm wrong?
