Right, here we go, can you kindly give me your best counter service in

Animal Kingdom
Epcot
HS
MK

Resort Hotel C/S

I am going to put alongside my daily itinerary the names of the best c/s so do not have to check all the menus to see where to go. Thanks :goodvibes

11/7 - Thinking of using some C/S as people suggested to take sandwiches out with us, but I know wolfgang is not open until 9am. Thinking of taking when go universal but leaving early about 7/7.30 - does anyone know of anywhere that does "to go" counter services at that time of day????

Here are mine. Just remember that this is personal opinion based on my choices of food and experiences there:

EPCOT: Sunshine Seasons in FW; Tangierin Cafe in WS

MK: Pecos Bills; Columbia Harbor House

AK: Yak & Yeti and Pizzafari

DHS: Hmmm, hardly eat there, but Backlot Express is okay

Animal Kingdom - Flame Tree BBQ (although not a great deal of choice)
Epcot - Yorkshire Fish & Chips / Electric Umbrella (I'm a real adventurous eater :lmao:)
DHS - Only eaten at ABC Comissary. Enjoy breakfast at Starring Rolls tho :)
Magic Kingdom - Cosmic Rays / Columbia Harbour house

Not eaten at any resory hotels but

DTD - Wolfgang Puck express - best 'counter service' on property for me :)

:goodvibes

AK - Pizzafari
DHS - Backlot Express
MK - Colombia Harbour House (my overall favourite CS)
Epcot - Liberty Inn (although TBH like the location halfway round WS better than the food)

Last year we visited a lot of resorts just to have a look around and get a CS meal. The Pepper Market at Coronado Springs was particularly nice but there was a service charge there.

ETA - we also like to get monorail to Polynesian from MK for CS there

Oh I forgot DTD!

Mine is Earl of Sandwich. If you love salads like I do, I think that the EoS ones are better than WPE. If there was no price tag on the items at either place I still believe that the best value and quality if you want salad is at EoS.

However if you want a bit more than sandwiches and salads then I wouldn't hesitate to recommend WPE - its excellent! :thumbsup2

AK, as I said in another thread we struggle for indoor seating CS here Restaurantosaurus
EPCOT, Electric Umbrella
DHS, Backlot Express although on DDP we ate at ABC Commissary and enjoyed.
MK, I prefer Pecos Bills; Karen prefers Columbia Harbor House

Resorts without doubt the 2 food courts at POR/POFQ

DTD Wolfgang Puck Express best use of CS credits possible.

You can avoid the service charge by taking your food "to go" and eating it outside.;)

Captain Cooks at the Poly :thumbsup2

We are pretty typical too -

EP - Sunshine seasons
MK - Columbia Harbour house (brilliant veggie sandwich yum yum)
AK - Flame Tree BBQ
HS - not if I can help it!! Will do a snack only but am going to try Pizza Planet this year!

Never eaten at Downtown Disney!

DHS really does have a lack of good options doesn't it! We went to Pizza Planet once, kind of like those mini Goodfellas frozen pizzas you get here, but probably not even as good :(

:goodvibes

They have revamped several of the menus at DHS (CS) so I am going to suck up my negative attitude and give at least 2 of them a try with an open mind. I am expecting to be pleasantly surprised. :)

MK -Peco Bills - love those burgers!
DHS - Have given up trying to find an edible CS there! BUT will be going to Starring Roles bakery this year for one of the giant cupcakes I have seen pictures of!
Ep - Morocco - nice platters
AK - Had a nice sandwich at Pizzafari last year, but do not recommend the actual pizza. Will be trying the Yak and Yeti counter service this year as it gets good reviews.
DTD - Earl of Sandwich - best CS in Disney!
Hotel - Haven't eaten at many hotel CS - the foodcourt at POR is very nice. Do a lovely create-your-own pasta dish!

Maybe I will have a look - but we like the character lunch at H & V - you know what I am like with characters!! On my other HS day I have a fantasmic package at 3.40pm so not sure if we will want lunch or dinner on either side of that!!!

I would call it lunch and maybe get 1 cs to share between 2 people later on just before Fantasmic.

Ak - Flame Tree
MK - Peco Bills
DHS - as other have said, poor choice but Backlot or ABC
Epcot - Sunshine
DTD - Earl of Sandwich (yet to try WPE)

Resort - POR or Mara at AK

MK - Cosmic Rays
EP - Mexico - we love mexican, although I think the morrocan CS looks yummy too!
DHS - Catalina Eddie's - the hot italian sandwich is delicious!
Ak - Restaurantosaurus

Resort - Mara, loved that you can have cous cous on the side, and the turkey ciabatta is yummy!

DTD - Earl!! Best CS in all of WDW!

Not really a great fan of CS meals but...

Wolfgang Puck Express

in DTD is the best use of CS credits!

Don't listen to those who say otherwise, it's all lies I tell you!!! :rotfl:

AK - didn't have CS there. Got my eye on flame tree for this trip.

MK - DH liked peco bills burger and toppings. I loved the fried shrimp at CHH.

HS - We enjoyed all our CS here - I know i'm in a minority. Fave was starring rolls - the ham sandwich was packed full of meat and the cakes good - had a brownie topped with m & m's. We thought pizza planet ok - i'm not a huge pizza fan so I mainly ate the salad and DH eats pizza in any form. Backlot express for fine for burgers/chicken strips and free help yourself drink refils.

EP - again against popular opinion we disliked Tangerine. Platter was cold - as in cold kebab, just not what I was expecting. Will be food and wine nibbles at Epcot not CS this year.

DTD - We ate at WPE 4 times including breakfast. Our favourite CS. Also E of S.

Resort - best thing we had at all star movies was the large 16 inch pepperoni pizza and 2 ice cream sundaes - good deal for 2 CS.

Not based on the quality of the food (though the dogs are always yummy), but my favourite CS is Caseys :goodvibes
It's one of my MUST DO's to go there every time we are at Disney, and enjoy a Hot dog whilst people watching in the sun :thumbsup2

MK - CHH or Cosmic Rays
Epcot - Sunshine Seasons
DHS - Backlot Express
AK - don't eat CS here as it always too hot and we leave and get lunch somewhere else!
DTD - EoS
Resort - Pepper Market at CSR - tried Contempo Cafe this year at the CR and it was nice but choice was quite small but our food was good.

I suspect you will get a lot of differing opinions here so not sure it will help but, for the record, my personal favourites are:

Animal Kingdom - Yak & Yeti (something different form the normal burgers, chicken etc.)
Epcot - Yorkshire County Fish & Chips (however, for breakfast, Sunshine Seasons)
HS - yet to find a decent place here  Starring Rolls is not bad though, if you're happy with just a sandwich and cake
MK - Columbia Harbour House

Resort Hotel C/S - Sassagoula Floatworks, POFQ

And I've added in:

Downtown Disney - Earl of Sandwich
