Favors

455 per hour for three hours or 455 for three hours? The latter isn't too awful...we have 150 guests...that's about $3 a person...hmmmmm

One Artist can't do 150 people in 3 hours. You'd have to get more than one artist for that many people.

We did the custom CD thing, We made the CD into the table card (it had the individual's table number on the jewel case) on the back was a note from us. on the inside front was the menu. When you reversed the front fold out it had a title page and the song listingd. A "Glass (ok, plastic) slipper was hot-glued to the top of the jewel case. We put music on it that was special to us; the kids got a big hit out of "Hampsterdance" I did the duplicating (I bought a $700 CD duplicater, and spent many hours copying. That littl bugger works great, and comes in handy... We pinted the label and the jewel case inserts on our HP inkjet 990C that has a built in duplexer...

Oh, I have also seen Picture Buttons as a keepsake...

:jumping2:

Wow--I love the sound of your jewel case insert...do you have that still on file that I could see how you did it?

We didn't give our guests favors. We felt that anything they would give them would just be another thing they would have to pack and bring home, and most of our guests probably wouldn't have brought home a 'trinket' anyway when they had all their disney suveniers to pack! So, we put the money we would have spent on favors towards our Illuminations Dessert party after our reception. All of our guests agreed that was much more memorable!

What are challenge coins?

Challenge coins are something used in the military (other places too I'm sure! ;) ). They are basically a 2 sided metal coin. If you put your fingers together to make the "ok" sign they are "normally" about that size. Some are raised and some flat. Anyways, they will have info on them about your base, unit, etc... Like, a picture of your mascot with your unit name on one side and then words of where you are on the other. That's a horrible description... let me find a picture...

Okay...that's what they look like! :cheer2:

Mine will be round with a "Mickey head" middle (hard to explain) with stuff on both sides. One side will have our monogram and the wedding date and some other info. The other will have the "yellow ribbon" and some info.

In the military they are given out when you've done something good or you can buy them to commemorate certain things.

Does all that make sense?? :teacher: :rotfl2:

Hi Codi

Sorry it was $455 for 3 hrs and then each additional hr. You would need more than one artist with 150 people or a very long reception, I think they do around 10 per hour (i'm not totally sure on that).

Here is a link to a web page that has the images on it if you can't see the pictures...

This is the CD Case Insert that served as place card, menu and favor at our wedding.

We glued "glass" slippers filled with chocolates on top of the pillow so all of guests would have something sweet to eat while listening to music that is special to us.

This is a picture of the finished CD cases, as set out at our reception.

Where are you getting the challange coins made, thats a great idea.

OHANAFAMILY...that is such a great favor and idea...may I ask how you got the chocolates to stay in the slipper or did you just add them in as the cd's were set on the table?

We're buying our favors from Disney. When we had our planning session on Monday, we decided to go with chocolate Mickey ears (think Earfel Tower) that will be sitting on each guest's plate as they arrive at the reception. We're getting dark chocolate, milk chocolate and white chocolate ears. I believe Disney Floral is responsible for the favors. They're cute and yummy :)

They were tied up in a piece of Tule (meshy fabric), and stuffed into the slippers. They were inserted after the cds were placed on the table.

I am sure visiting these pages alot lately!! We are not doing "favors" per say, but we are putting the money towards the dessert party for 70 guests and we are also doing welcome bags (which i will be posting as another post as to what to do what put in them!) good luck. :flower:

Did Disney offer you other options for favors?

As far as chocolate offerings go, I know that Disney also has chocolate slippers that you can use as favors. I know Impressions can do a ton of different things for favors too--they are a recommended vendor and there are various favors from them on display in Franck's (www.fairytalewedding.com is their site--click on the Themed Favors link on the main page for more info). Jordan almonds, picture frames, candy, etc. To be honest though, as soon as we saw the chocolate Mickey ears we knew we wanted them so we really didn't look much after that!

::MickeyMo We are having bags with few different goodies in them for wedding in disney scroll, flashing badges, mickey soap. Then for reception back home we have felt mickey heads made by Fiance mum with personalised mickey and minnie candles in them. We also have disney mint books and personalised stirrir sticks. We are hoping to get disney dollars to put in heads while in disney, don't know if this is possible. Its great hearing everybody's ideas.

I had an intimate at the Swan since I had an unexpected 25 people -15 of whom invited themselves-lol! I still had a cinderella theme so used pewter cinderella coach frames as placed card holders, then I had a heart shaped wine stopper in a box wrapped in white paper. On top of the box was a silver plated slipper bottle opener and I wrapped that w/ clear celophane tied w/ silver, pink, white ribbon(my colors) I got all of these on ebay and paid about 2.95 per person -inclusive!
