As a relatively new DVC member, we have only had the pleasure of staying at our home resort--VWL. I was wondering what everyone's top 3 or 4 favorite things are about each of the DVC properties you've tried.

For me, my 4 favorite things about VWL are:

1) proximity to the magic kingdom and being on the lagoon

2) Quiet

3) Surrey bikes and the biking trail to the campground

4) Theming

Who's next?

Laura

My home resort is the Boardwalk.

My favorite things are:

1. Jellyrolls

2. Walking distance to MGM and Epcot.

3. the views and the hustle & bustle on the Boardwalk (which is part of the view!)

4. the slide at the pool.

"Oh yeah, OKW is thought by many to be the only TRUE DVC resort",

I'm just curious, I see this a lot on the boards by the older key westers. Does this mean that you wish that Okw should stand alone, and not be part of the other DVC resorts? If that's how you really feel, that's ok with us. Call us DVC 2 or something, and we'll charge you a small fee if you want to trade in, like RCI.

You keep mentioning the TRUE DVC resort for a reason. I just wanted to know why.

I think I am the only one that uses "Many feel it is the only 'true' DVC resort".

I have never seen anyone else use it.

Who else have you seen use it?

Once we get that figured out, I will give the etymology of the phrase.

OKW
1) Pooh character Breakfast-long meet & greets
2) the seashells in the sidewalks
3) the landscaping/flora and fauna
4) the peace and quiet

OKW ~
1. Spaciousness
2. Relaxing atmosphere
3. Bus service that is not shared with other resorts (Remember the early days with those trips through the Treehouses/Fairway Villas?)
4. Theming

VWL ~
1. Theming
2. Roaring Forks
3. Being on the lagoon/Electric Water Pageant
4. Elevators!:D

For any DVC Resort ~
1. Knowing that you own a piece of the magic
2. Being able to treat friends/family to fabulous vacations
:)

You keep mentioning the TRUE DVC resort for a reason. I just wanted to know why.

In my opinion, it's to try to bait posters into an aurgument, (why that is supposedly enjoyable, I don't know.) It's really nonsense.

Each resort has it's advantages, and the person who started this thread had a wonderful idea in doing so, to post the positives people see in their home resort ownership.
