Hi everyone! I'm going to the food and wine fest at Epcot in a couple of weeks, and was wondering.....what is your favorite thing to eat OR drink at the festival or Epcot in general?! :thumbsup2

It has been a couple years since we have been but some of the food was so memorable to us we still talk of going back! We loved the pastie and sauerkraut (it had an apple cider vinegar taste to it) in Ireland. The bobotie (sp?) in South Africa was a great treat and the golden shrimp in Japan.

Hmmm. Maybe I need to book a trip for next November now... :)

I hesitate to give you my favorites, because they might be items that turn your stomach.

Instead, view the kiosks as your own personal adventure. There's a link on the sticky thread for Food and Wine Festival (on the top of this forum) that shows you what the kiosks are offering.

Check out the list of the offerings and go for anything that sounds appealing to you. :cutie:

I went for the first time 2 years ago. Some things change, but I'm surprised how many things are there every year. I really think that the food quality depends on when you get it. Some of the things that we got MAY have been good if they were fresh, but they tasted dried up like they were sitting for too long.

The good things...Japan sushi...THE BEST I HAVE EVER HAD!

Australia...chocolate macadamia nut bar..wonderful. DH had the baby lamb chop and loved it.

Mexico-cheese enchilada type thing (can't remember exactly). It was very good..a lot of KICK though.

France-Truffles...YUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!

Italy-canoli was very tasty with choc.chips and orange rind. Although good, it was very small and for the $3 I could have had a full size dessert at the french pastry shop. If they take a snack credit though, I would get it again.

Bad stuff: Poland pierogie and kielbasa. Tasted like a frozen Mrs. T pierogie and a couple pieces of hillshire farm and was dried out.

Germany-spaetzel was dried up and almost hard (and I LOVE spaetzel).

Italy-pizza tasted like what I got in elementary school at the cafeteria.

We had baklava at 2 places. I can't remember which was good and which was bad. 1 of them was really bitter.

These are the stand outs. Keep in mind between the 3 of us, we tried about 30 things.
We loved nibbling our way through the World Showcase. Sooo much fun!
