Favorite World Showcase restaurant for dinner???

What is your favorite EPCOT World Showcase restaurant for dinner, besides Le Cellier? We were thinking of trying Italy or Japan, but haven't heard too many good reviews. We have tried UK-- Rose and Crown and liked it very munch, but the kids don't want to go there on this trip.

We are trying Chefs de France in April. We've been there for lunch and really enjoyed it.

We have eaten in both Italy and Japan. I would recommend Japan over Italy. They seemed to rush us in Italy, the food was ok but it was so loud we had a hard time having a conversation. Japan is great with the interaction from the chef's and the others at the table. Everyone is in such a good mood because they are at WDW!!

Our family always has our first nights meal in Japan. We leave in 23 days. But who's counting.

We loved Chefs de France! We enjoyed the food and felt they really catered to our children (not that most WDW restaurants don't).

We had planned on having dinner here our last trip and someone on these boards recommended having a late lunch instead to save some money. We did and we loved it. DD (4 at the time) did not care for her kid's meal because she expected chicken nuggets (fried pieces-parts) and instead was given grilled chicken cooked in front of us- PECULIAR child However she enjoyed the rice.
DH and I both loved everything- we got the chicken and steak combination. It was wonderful. We are definitely going back on our next trip.
We have also eaten at Italy and thought is was okay (but not spectacular), but that was like 10 years ago. We love San Angel and Akershus. We were not wild about Rose and Crown.

Le Cellier is definitely our favorite, but we have eaten at Marrakkesh twice and loved it, and, despite many posts to the contrary, we have always had a wonderful time at the San Angel Inn in Mexico. I really liked Biergarten before they went to family-style seating, Alfredo's was just so-so (Hubby is Italian and was not impressed), French Bistro was very good when I was there many years ago.

Have a great time no matter where you wind up.

DD, who is now 10, just loves Teppanyaki. It has become a family tradition since her first trip 6 years ago to have our last meal in the "World" at Teppanyaki. Something for everyone.

We have given up on Italy. IMHO, too much money for a noisy dining room and a mediocre meal.

I tried Akershus for the first time on my last trip, and really enjoyed it! It was a buffet with a wide variety of delicious foods.

We have been to each many times over... I couldn't choose just one... but a few that I love specific dishes at are San Angel Inn, Marrekesh, Chef de France.

Our family LOVES dinner at Alfredo's. Kids are 5 & 9 and love it when the strolling band gets to our table!

We love Teppanyaki in Japan - it was tasty, and the chef we had was very entertaining. He kept the boys (11 and 12) involved in what was going on, and they loved it! He made a little volcano on the grill out of onions, Mickey's face, plus flipped stuff all over the place, onto plates, onto the top of his hat, etc.

I have heard, though, that it depends on the chef you get. If you have one who is less interactive, it can take some of the fun out of the experience.

Japan is actually my favorite pavillion in Epcot, for food, shopping, exhibit, the whole bit.

We've always enjoyed the Biergarten in Germany. The food is good and the entertainment is fun. Big cold Beck's certainly enhances the whole experience!

We haven't tried Chefs de France so I can't comment on that. We have tried Teppanyaki, Le Cellier, San Angel Inn, and Alfredos and the first two I listed are our favorites. I would definitely choose Teppanyaki over Alfredo's. The food is very blah at Alfredo's. And this is coming from someone who normally prefers Italian food over Asian. Teppanyaki won me over with their tenderloin yum!

We like the Biergarten and Chefs de France for dinner. I love the Rose and Crown Pub for my afternoon break. The family shops and I wait there.

We enjoyed San Angel....mostly for the atmosphere, as we have an outstanding Mexican rest. right here at home.....

Biergarten and Marrakkesh were great fun - and the food was wonderful, IMO. The kids really enjoyed both of these.....the ommpah band at Biergarten had the kids dancing - what a riot! And my DD was dancing with the belly dancer at Marrakkesh, while my DH and eldest DS couldn't take their eyes off her!

The food at Chefs de France was outstanding! Our server was very personable, and the kids got a kick out of all the French she attempted to teach them.

Alfredos DH and I only visited once.....I wasn't particularly impressed myself....just so-so... I'm not in a hurry to go back..
