Looking for a dinner outside of the park -- will be going to Animal Kingdom one day and not really interested in Yak & Yeti. Willing to go to anyother resort or area. Where would you go? (2 adults, 2 kids 7 & 3) Middle of the road for pickiness -- kids more than adults, but since most kids menus are okay we are open!

Not sure if you were looking for a show- but we loved the Hoop Dee Doo revue! Food was really yummy (ribs, fried chicken) and the show was corny but really cute! My then 2 and 6 year olds loved it and thought it was hilarious...so I think the ages of your kids would be perfect for this. And for the adults- unlimited beer and sangria- how can you go wrong with that??!! ;)

I think the 7pm and 9:30 shows are only 1 TS credit and the 5pm show is 2 credits, but you'll have to double check on that since we paid OOP. If you go to the 5pm, you'll be done in time for the Campfire singalong with Chip and Dale- roasting marshmallows over the fire, meet C&D and sing cowboy songs- really alot of fun and free!!

Here are some 1 TS resort locations I really enjoyed:
Ohanas, Boma, Kona Cafe

Places I'm trying for the first time this coming trip:
The Wave, Kouzzina

Cape MAY Clambake is very good and my kids like the food and the fact they can draw on the paperlined tables. Keeps them busy and happy!

Olivias @ OKW is very good as well.

Whispering Canyon is fun for kids, milkshakes with meals. Entertainment from waiters/waitresses, stick pony rides and ask for KETCHUP!

Ohana's ( family stlye)we love and so did the kids, my son who is picky ordered chicken nuggets and fries without a problem.( other options) Bread pudding is too dye for and the kids can just get the icecream. They can go up and parade around w/ Hawaiin singer and music and leis.

Definitely Boma! Nearby and still in the "animal theme" of the day.

These are some great suggestions. I am not sure if DH would want to do another character meal/show. But I have a question about HDDR -- I went to look it up and the 7:15 show is available the night we would need it. But it said that we could not use the DPP credits for it. Why not? We do have all of our meals accounted for right now but we are planning on paying OOP for our bkfsts a few times, would like to use the credits on meals that are "worth" it, ya' know? It said seating category 1, is that why the DP isn't available?

HDDR is 2 TS credits per person, no matter which show you attend. At the 5:00 and 7:15 shows, you can only book cats. 2 or 3 using DDP. At the 9:30 show, you can use DDP for cat. 1 (this is a less popular seating time, so it's allowed). Just to clarify, this is not a character meal. It's just a dinner show with real live entertainers (they sure are "characters" but not the kind you're thinking of).

I'd do either HDDR, or if you want 1 TS meals, Boma or 'Ohana. Another place that's really popular with kids is WCC; my family hated it, but lots of folks love it...and it's an easy boat ride from CR to WL and back.

We really enjoyed Boma and Cape may cafe, although both
are buffet(my DH loves them). The good thing is everyone should
find something yummy to try. We are trying Ohana and yachtsman
steakhouse this time around,(couldn't get Le Cellier). But it all
tastes great when you're in the world!!!!
