What is your favorite tip, trick, or secret you've learned from the Disboards?

I have several:
-the value & placement of targets in Buzz Lightyear
-late usage of Fast Passes
-entrance to parks on blackout day if your AP is activated that day
-the link to the menus for dining options.

Fast pass, ART info and the fact that you could request free buttons were my favorite tips!

The menus, the buttons and asking to 'pilot' the Mark Twain. I can't wait to try that with my kids on our next trip (that's forever away.:sad1: )

I'm kind of liking the food/snack tips!! :rotfl: (I'm gonna gain so much weight:sad2: :lmao: )

Free buttons?? Please do tell me about that !!

If it is your birthday, anniversary or first time to DL, you can go to City Hall and ask for a button to wear commemorating your occasion. I think you can also get a "Just Married' button too.

"Fastpass for dummies and smarties" boy did I need that, the dummy part! :rotfl:

#1 tip always: Arrive early! Arrive early!

Some other tricks I've learned here (over the course of a few years):
-How to maximize FP system (disconnected rides, park hopping, using late FPs, knowing which FPs are more effective over others)
-free map of Jungle Cruise (and I've heard Pirate's Lair, but I haven't gotten one of those)
-Use Magic Mornings
-best spots for parade, fireworks, and fantasmic seating

And the list goes on...

the secret fantasmic space!
I'm intrigues, where is it?:)

I've learned everything I know from this site. I should make a t-shirt: 'All my knowledge about Disneyland I got from DISboards.'
I love how everyone is so forthcoming and willing to help out everyone even when they are answering the same questions for the millionth time:love:

Where do you get the Jungle Cruise maps again? My DD8 loves that ride and I want to get one for her. :)

Favorite tips
Fast Pass information
upgrading your PH's to AP's!!!! :) I think that's my absolute favorite! LOL
and Buzz Lightyear tips

Have tickets in a pouch on a pin lanyard, so it is easy to pull out to get a fast pass, and store that fast pass too. Also, while at WDW, I had a little paper in there with all my dining (ADR/PS) #'s on it...so in case there was an issue when checking in, I had my confirmation number handy.

Ooooo Please elaborate!

I can't quite remember every tip, but I believe the values of the targets are [in descending order] triangle, diamond, square, circle. And, of course, the targets are worth more when lit. The last tip I remember is that there are hidden targets in the dark tunnel--I believe on the ceiling.

... asking to 'pilot' the Mark Twain...

I forgot about this tip, but I loved it!! We had my DS do this & it was so cute! He is only 4, so it probably didn't mean quite as much to him as it may someday, but it was really neat.

And the certificate that they give you is such a great & FREE souvenir!!

Best way to use MM, FP collecting, what e-ticket rides to hit while everyone else is watching fireworks and fantasmic, hotels and discounts

take those neck cooler things that you soak in water

Eat at WHite Water Snacks at the GCH and sit outside at a table that borders DCA... one, maybe two cats will always come visit.

Howard Johnson's- will always be thankful to the board for the ET rate knowledge. The cats--who knew? For the tons of food advice--we won't eat at Disneyland much but when we do, we will be informed. Here's some of my list I have cultivated :

jungle cruise is awesome at night. lots of new jokes can be added by the skippers (those i have talked to say they actually prefer working JC at night, it lets them be more creative and have more fun)

In Fantasyland, when stading next to the sword in the anvil, look about the Snow White ride, the Evil Queen pulls the drapes apart and peeks through the second story window at the crowd.

In the queuing line for Indianna Jones, deep inside, in the middle of all of the bamboo poles, there is one that looks a little crooked. Pull on it hard, and the cavern will boom like a cave in. First time someone did it, it scared me to death!
